A Note From Lynsey Allan Director of Sport
As another fantastic sporting year ends, I would like to thank all of our pupils, staff and parents for their outstanding commitment, enthusiasm and support throughout the year. The dedication shown both on and off the field has made this another memorable season for school sport.
I hope everyone has a safe, relaxing and well-deserved summer holiday. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in August as pre-season training gets underway, and we begin another exciting year of sporting opportunities and success.
Enjoy the break, and thank you once again for being such an important part of our sporting community.
Nicky & Jet | Swimming
Congratulations to Nicky and Jet (Form III), who enjoyed an excellent day at the Scottish Schools Swimming Association Finals! Together, they secured silver medals in both the Freestyle Relay and Medley Relay events.
In the individual competitions: Jet placed 15th in the 200m Backstroke and 19th in the 100m Backstroke. Nicky claimed bronze in the 200m Individual Medley and finished 7th in the 100m Freestyle.
A fantastic achievement from both swimmers, well done!
Anna, Eilidh, Holly & Libby | Tennis
Well done to Anna, Eilidh (Form IV), Holly (Form VI) and Libby (Form FP 2026), who progressed to the semi-finals of the UK Schools Tennis Championship after a fantastic win against The Glasgow Academy.
Scottish Schools’ Secondary Relay Championships
Congratulations to all of our pupils who competed in the Scottish Schools Secondary Relay Championships last week!
Our U20 boys claimed 1st place with a winning time of 45.04 seconds. Our U20 girls secured an excellent 3rd-place finish.
This was a particularly special occasion, as the U20 boys’ victory marks Dollar Academy’s first-ever win at the championships - a fantastic achievement for everyone involved.
Yannick | Basketball
Congratulations to Yannick (Form IV), who has been selected as a reserve for the U18 Wheelchair Scotland squad!
Having already represented Scotland at U14 level for the past three years, this latest selection is another significant milestone in his basketball journey. Well done!
Max Williamson | Rugby
Congratulations to Max Williamson (FP 2020), who has been representing Scotland in the Nations Championship fixtures against Argentina, South Africa and Fiji this month!
Graeme Morrison | Rugby
Congratulations to our Bursar & COO, Graeme Morrison (FP 2001), who was recently named as part of Rob Robertson's Glasgow Warriors dream team!
Ollie and Alex Wilson | Hockey
Congratulations to brothers Ollie (FP 2023) and Alex Wilson (FP 2020), who recently earned their first caps for Scotland in the FIH Hockey Nations Cup against Malaysia.
Evie Wills | Rugby
Congratulations to Evie Wills (FP 2019), who has signed with Glasgow Warriors and will make her debut next season!
Millie | Hockey
Congratulations to Millie (Form VI), who was selected for the Scottish Hockey Emerging Squad and recently represented the team in fixtures against Ulster!
Tabitha & Riley | Hockey
Congratulations to Riley Thomson (FP 2024) and Tabitha Peck (FP 2026), who were selected for the Scotland Women’s U21 squad for a threematch series against England at Bowdon Hockey Club!
Amy and Charlotte | Hockey
On Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 June, a number of pupils represented the school at the Scottish Schools Track and Field Championships at Grangemouth Stadium. Well done to all competitors - every athlete delivered an excellent performance! Congratulations to Charlotte (Form V), who placed 1st in the U18 100m, receiving the George Aithie Trophy. Charlotte also came 2nd in the U18 200m! Congratulations to Amy (FP 2026), who came 2nd in the U20 High Jump!
Munro & Robbie | Rugby
Well done to Munro, who was named the Stirling County U13s Players' Player of the Year for the 2025/26 season and Robbie, who received the U13s Coaches' Player of the Year award for the 2025/26 season.
It has been a remarkable season for the Stirling County U13 squad, which includes several other Form I pupils. The team went undefeated to become league champions before rounding off their campaign by winning the Helensburgh 10s tournament.
Magnus | Aquathon
Well done to Magnus (Form IV), who won the Youth Aquathon section at the Lochore Triathlon Festival recently. He had a fantastic performance in some challenging conditions - congratulations!
Isabelle | Fencing
Well done to Isabelle (Form II), who won a silver medal while representing Dollar at the U14 Girls Foil at the Scottish Schools Championships!
Murrin | Weightlifting
Congratulations to Murrin (Form III), who set new Scottish U15 records in Clean and Jerk (45kg) and Totals (77kg) while competing in the Scottish Youth Championships!
Douglas | Curling & Golf
Congratulations to Douglas (Form III) on his recent curling and golfing achievements!
Douglas enjoyed an outstanding final U14 curling season, winning all four Scottish Curling tournaments and the overall Order of Merit without losing a game. He also successfully defended his U14 Mixed Doubles title and has since been selected for the Scottish Curling U17 National Academy. In golf, Douglas has been selected for the Scottish Golf Pilot Programme and the Perth and Kinross Boys U18 squad, helping them win their opening tournament against Fife and Angus. He also claimed a silver medal at the Stephen Gallacher Foundation tournament at Gourock Golf Club. Some fantastic achievements across two sports – well done, Douglas!
Clarrie | Gymnastics
Well done to Clarrie (FP 2026), who competed in her final competition at Central Gymnastics Academy before her move to England. She achieved 2 place on beam, 2 on bars, 6 on floor and 6 on vault - earning her 2 place overall in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics at the Zinc level!
S&C Suite Summer Opening Schedule
Our Strength and Conditioning Suite will be open for supervised training sessions throughout July for pupils who would like to continue their training over the summer. Please get in touch with Maria Omma, our Strength and Conditioning coach for more information.

This summer, we are running free basketball pre-season training for any Dollar Academy pupil in Form I and above.
