Daily Schedule and Routine

School Hours
School starts at 7:20 and ends at 13:55
There are two breaks during the school day, one is for 40 minutes and the other is for 20 minutes.

We have a canteen where you can buy food as well as other cafeteria’s around the school, these are marked on the map
Your timetable will have some letters and numbers under the subjects, for example S4 - 101. S4 is the building, 1 means first floor, if you have G that means ground floor. 01 or any other number is the room number.
IT and E-learning Platforms:
You will receive your Google and Apple ID login details from the IT team and they are often your school email address and assigned password. You need to be logged into Google Chrome to access all the Google features. The most important tools are Google Classroom and Gmail. Log into Classlink as this is a single sign-on (SSO) platform that gives you oneclick access to all their digital learning tools with just one username and password.

Google Classroom Use

This is your main learning platform, where you will access classroom tasks, find revision material and submit homework. It is essential you check your Google Classroom “To Do” list daily, which can be found by clicking the three lines in the top left corner. This will show you deadlines, and upcoming assignments. We also recommend you set reminders and use Google Calendar to record important dates.
• There are many other digital resources such as CenturyTech, Seneca, GCSEpod, Edpuzzle, Quizizz etc, and they also have a Google sign on button - you just use your Google details to login.
• For any learning platform related queries, please contact shahmed@dohacollege. com or digitallearning@dohacollege.com.
• For any IT-related queries, please contact the IT Help Desk at help@dohacollege.com

Peer Programme:

At Doha College, our Peer Programme connects pupils across year groups to offer support, guidance, and a listening ear. Whether you’re new to the school or just need someone to talk to, trained Peer Mentors from Years 7–12 are here to help you settle in, navigate challenges, and make the most of school life. Look out for their badges—and don’t hesitate to say hello or ask for help!
Peer Ambassadors (Year 12)
Represent the school at events, model positive behaviour, support the training of other peer leaders, and help shape initiatives that promote wellbeing, belonging, and smooth transitions.
Peer Mentors (Key Stage 4)
Provide approachable guidance to younger pupils, particularly during key transition points, helping to build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of community.
Peer Connectors (Key Stage 3)
Focus on welcoming and supporting new pupils, acting as buddies to those who are new or in need of social support, and helping all students feel seen, valued, and connected.
All peer leaders are trained during CCA time and contribute to a culture of kindness, support, and leadership at Doha College.

Counselling/Safeguarding: You can contact the counsellors at: cpond@dohacollege.com or ecullen@dohacollege.com If you have a safeguarding issue, email at safeguarding@dohacollege.com

Houses & Rewards System:
Our House System encourages teamwork, competition and success across the school. Every pupil is assigned to a House and can earn points through academic achievement, good conduct and participation in events. House points are collected weekly and contribute to termly rewards, House Cup competitions, and special recognition for top-performing teams. The system helps build a sense of belonging and motivates pupils to strive for their personal best while supporting one another. Every point counts—so get involved, give your best, and help lead your House to victory in the ultimate challenge: winning the House Cup at the end of the year!
Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs).
For secondary pupils, there are over 100 activities across Skill, Service, and Sport, helping pupils develop essential life skills, contribute to the community, and stay active-all. CCA activities run from 14:05 to 15:05, with each activity typically lasting for one term, though some may continue all year. A new programme is offered in the Autumn, Spring, and Summer terms. You can sign up, check allocations, and find details using the SchoolsBuddy app. The programme is regularly updated each term with new opportunities based on student feedback.
