DOHA COLLEGE Emergency Procedures
Wishing you warm welcome back
Dear Parents,
I hope this message finds you and your families safe and well.
Following the recent developments in the region, we are preparing for a safe and structured return to school. As always, the safety and wellbeing of our pupils remain our highest priority, and we would like to take this opportunity to share a clear overview of the procedures we have in place to support this.
Our emergency procedures align with the Ministry of Interior (MOI) guidance and are designed to ensure that all pupils are kept safe, calm, and fully supervised at all times. Our staff are well-trained, and our systems are clear, measured, and responsive.
At the heart of our approach are a few key principles:
• Pupils are always kept safe, calm, and reassured
• Classes remain together under the supervision of staff
• Movement around the school is controlled carefully

• All actions are directed by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Security
• We act only on official, verified information
In the event of an alert during the school day, pupils will remain in safe indoor areas, away from windows, under the close supervision of staff. Registers are checked to ensure all pupils are accounted for, and normal activity will only resume once an official “All Clear” is given.
Should an alert occur at other times—such as before the start of the day, during break, or at dismissal—pupils will be calmly guided into safe indoor spaces and supervised until it is safe to continue. These procedures are carefully adapted for both Primary and Secondary pupils, ensuring age-appropriate care, structure, and support.
For our Primary pupils, there is a strong emphasis on reassurance, with staff guiding children calmly and keeping classes together in a nurturing and secure environment. For our Secondary pupils, procedures reflect their growing independence, with clear instructions and structured supervision to ensure safety and accountability at all times.
We kindly ask all members of our community to support these procedures by relying only on official school communications and avoiding the sharing of unverified information.
We understand that situations such as these can cause uncertainty. Please be assured that Doha College remains a calm, caring, and well-prepared environment, where every decision is guided by what is best for our pupils.
Thank you for your continued support and trust.
