School Year 2 Co-curricular provision Summer Term 2026
In the Junior School, our co-curricular programme is designed to offer pupils the opportunity to experience a wide range of activities that complement the curriculum and encompass our values.

Each girl will have a unique co-curricular experience and, over the course of a year, is encouraged to develop and pursue existing skills and interests alongside trying new activities. Everyone will engage with the lunchtime co-curricular programme and is also invited to select activities from the wraparound provision.
Sessions are led by members of our teaching community as well as specialist coaches and external providers. Selected activities are run in collaboration with Haberdashers’ Boys’ School.
Co-curricular activities fall into four categories and over the course of any academic year, students should aim to take part in at least one activity from each:
CREATE AND CONSTRUCT

Registering interest in wraparound co-curricular activities will now be done on SOCS. Please see the guide at the end of this booklet.
Please take time to review the activities on offer with your child and express your interest on SOCS for the relevant activities by 5pm on Wednesday 11 March.
Please note that by selecting an activity you are expressing interest. This does not guarantee your daughter a space if the maximum number of students is reached.

Where an activity builds upon skills and learning from previous terms, priority will be given to those pupils already attending. If an activity has not reached its maximum capacity, places will be offered first to any pupils who were unsuccessful in gaining a place the previous term. Any remaining places will be allocated randomly to pupils who have registered interest.
Whilst every effort is made to allocate pupils the activities they have expressed interest in, there may be instances where an activity is oversubscribed. When this occurs, a waiting list will be created, and you will be contacted should a space become available.
After 5pm on Wednesday 11 March, you will no longer be able to register your interest for wraparound activities on SOCS.
Should there be any remaining spaces, this will be communicated on the Habs Parent App with details of how to sign up.
You will be notified if your daughter is unsuccessful in securing a place for the activities that you have selected by Wednesday 25 March at 5pm.
All students are expected to attend their allocated activities for the duration of the term. Clubs are a termly commitment. You will be billed at the end of term for all of the sessions excluding residential trips and school fixtures.
If there is a known reason that they cannot attend, please let Miss Sultana and Junior School reception know ahead of the session so this can be marked in the register.
Where there is a cost per session, this will be shown in the specific activity details contained within this booklet. All charges will made through Evolve Pay. Chargeable activities
Cancellation of wraparound activities
Where these are known, any dates that activities will not be running will be communicated within this booklet.
Where possible, if the teacher is unable to lead their activity, it will be run by another member of staff. There may be occasions where an activity needs to be cancelled at short notice. Parents will be advised by email with 24 hours advance notice and by phone call if it is less than 24 hours.
Drop off – before school activities
Many morning activities begin before there is playground supervision and so pupils must remain accompanied until the start time, when they will be met by the adult leading the activity. Alternatively, they may attend breakfast club from 7:30am, which must be prebooked and is chargeable.
– after-school activities
For all clubs taking place at Habs Girls, pupils should be met in the Junior School playground at the end of their after-school activities. For all activities taking place at Habs Boys, pupils should be met at the Boys’ Prep School Reception unless stated otherwise.
As after-school care is now run by an external provider at the Boys' Prep Hall, any pupils who are not pre-booked into after-school care will not be able to attend due to insurance restrictions. Girls who are not collected at the end of their club will wait at the Junior School reception. If a child is consistently collected late, they may no longer be able to participate in the activity.
Children in Year 1 and Year 2 who are using the 4.15pm coach service will be collected from after-school care and escorted to the coach park or Pre-Prep School. Pupils in these year groups will not be able to attend an after-school club and also travel on the 4:15pm coach.
Key Stage 2 pupils attending afterschool care or using the late coach may make their own way there unaccompanied.

Tuesday 14 April. Please take time to review the activities on offer with your daughter before this date.
Allocation of lunchtime activities
Unless an activity is indicated to be invite only, places will be allocated randomly. Whilst every effort is made to allocate students their preferred activities, there may be instances where an activity is oversubscribed. When this occurs, selection for the activity will be at random and every effort will be made to offer a similar activity the following term, where those who missed out will be prioritised during the allocation process.
Once selected, pupils can view their lunchtime co-curricular choices using SOCS.
allocated activities for the duration of the term. If there is a known reason why they cannot attend, they must endeavour to let the teacher running the session know. Where possible, if the teacher is unable to attend their activity, it will be run by another member of staff.

** indicates that an activity is invite only (following trials/auditions)
