GENERAL POLICY The dress code at Asbury Classical School is intended to distinguish students as young people who approach their education with appreciation and respect. Similar to how an athlete wears their team's uniform or a doctor wears appropriate professional attire, a student wears the uniform representing their vocation. The school's objective is to establish a dress code that: 1. Creates an atmosphere conducive to education 2. Teaches the students to present themselves well 3. Affirms the God-ordained differences between men and women 4. Is easy for parents to obtain and maintain 5. Is easy for teachers and staff to enforce Uniform items should be purchased through Lands’ End. However, polos, accessories, and outerwear may be purchased from an alternative retailer if they are identical in color and style to Lands’ End. Lands’ End Preferred School Number: 900203951 Jewelry (girls only) should be limited due to risk of losing it during playtime, but could include small stud or mini hoop earrings. Boys and Girls: Watches should not beep nor have any smart functions (e.g. Gizmo or Apple watch). Hair should be groomed, natural in color, and kept out of the eyes. Hairstyles that draw undue attention are not permitted. Backpacks and lunch boxes, may be solid or patterned but no characters (e.g. Hello Kitty, Minecraft, Avengers, Disney, etc.).

Uniform Selections
Baseline Uniform
Girls should have a jumper with a logo and white peter pan collar polo as the starting point of their uniform with navy cartwheel shorts and socks/tights. This will be worn for picture day and special event days. Additional color or fabric styles of shirts are listed below as well as skirt option.
Tops
Girls Long or Short Sleeve Peter Pan Collar Polo Shirt (required shirt if worn with skirt) Broadcloth button-up Peter Pan collar shirt may be worn under the jumper ONLY Colors: Blue or White
Bottoms

White or Navy Girls Solid Socks (above the ankle, crew, or knee-high) OR Opaque Microfiber Solid Tights (Navy or White, not sheer)
Footwear
Close-toed shoes, conservative; no lights, wheels, characters or bright colors that attract attention; no sandals or Crocs-style shoes. Boots may be worn in inclement weather, but students should bring school shoes for class time. *Kindergarten girls’ shoes must not have laces (slip on or velcro closure)
Accessories
School Uniform Girls Wide Headband in Navy or Plaid (optional), Jewelry should be limited and non-distracting, but could include small stud or mini hoop earrings.

HOW TO ORDER THE RIGHT SIZE Lands’ End Size Chart vs. Item Dimensions Size Charts: Gives an approximate generic measurement of an item for a given size. The example below shows the size chart for girls apparel not this specific cardigan sweater.
Item Dimensions: Has the exact measurements of a specific item of clothing and is more accurate.
TIPS Lands’ End recommends taking a similar item your child currently owns that fits well and measure it to determine what size would fit at the time of measurement. However, you will want to order a size that is large enough to allow for growth during the school year. Skirt lengths just above the knee in August will likely be out of dress code length by spring. If you plan to hem an item to eventually let the hem out as your child grows, wash & dry according to instructions before hemming to account for slight shrinkage. Uniforms sell out fast and backordered items are common. Order before the end of June to ensure you have them for the first day of class.
