CHAMPIONING THE BEST IN FLEET...

Welcome to Fleet World’s 2026 Great British Fleet Guide!

The Guide reflects the best products and services the fleet industry has to offer – many of which were showcased at this year’s Great British Fleet Event in Milton Keynes. Building on the success of previous years and offering more expert insight from our Masterclass Conference speakers, the event – again incorporating Exhibition, Conference and Awards – was another success!

Also, in the Great British Fleet Awards 2026, we recognised the very best in fleet, with a lavish black tie dinner and awards ceremony... and my congratulations go to the worthy winners for this year, all of whom you can read about within this Guide.

I would like to extend a personal thank you to all our visitors, exhibitors, event partners/sponsors, and conference Masterclass speakers for sharing their expert insight. It serves to underline the importance of a crucial sector that still accounts for the majority of new vehicle sales in the UK.

We look forward to seeing you again in April 2027!

– 15 APRIL 2027 –

MAZDA FLEET

Your drivers aren’t telling you everything. But your vehicles can.

Missed vehicle servicing and ignored warning lights often result in painful and avoidable downtime. Now, with ARC, you’re no longer reliant on your drivers taking action. With real-time data from each vehicle’s onboard computer feeding directly into our OSCAR fleet management system, we understand what each vehicle needs.

By shifting from reactive fixes to predictive maintenance, ARC ensures your fleet spends its life where it belongs: on the road and earning its keep.

Manage vehicles, customers & contracts in one platform

Eventually, we will all be driving electr manufacturers have earmarked an additional

The battery electric vehicle market remains volatile. Despite OEMs competing on price and creating downward pressure on new EV list prices, BEVs still cost more than their equivalent ICE vehicles. Manufacturers and leasing companies have years of experience with ICE vehicles. There is an air of stability. Everyone knows roughly what they cost, what they will be worth at the end of a three or four-year lease cycle, and whether buying or leasing makes more sense for a given use case. Petrol stations are ubiquitous and generally reliable. Service and maintenance intervals are predictable.

UNCERTAINTY EXISTS

A three-year lease with a Total Cost of Ownership based on last year’s fuel prices once felt like a sure thing. But as we are seeing, fuel prices are far from immune to volatility. Military action across the Middle East and Strait of Hormuz disruption have demonstrated that oil prices can move sharply and without warning, meaning the TCO agreed twelve months ago may already be more expensive than planned.

ICE vehicles still hold a meaningful advantage in range and capability, particularly for commercial vehicles. No matter the projected WLTP range of an EV, real-world performance is affected by speed, load weight, temperature and elevation –factors that affect ICE vehicles too, but to a much lesser degree.

EXPERT NAVIGATORS

The good news is that there are companies whose job it is to help fleets steer through these choppy waters. No two fleets are the same, from model mix to last-mile use to financing structures. Look for partners that recognise this and have the flexibility to provide appropriate support across vehicle leasing and finance, fleet management, short-term rental, accident management and mobility as a service. Any fleet leasing or

management company using the Bynx modular solution can deliver a solution that fits your specific needs. We are happy to put you in touch.

RADICAL SOLUTIONS

What if there were a way to make EVs more cost effective for fleets? If drivers can charge at home or at work, EVs become significantly cheaper to run than ICE vehicles, particularly as fuel prices remain elevated. Servicing is simpler and cheaper. Regenerative braking extends brake pad life dramatically. There is no gearbox oil change or timing belt replacement. And the most expensive component – the battery –typically carries a warranty of eight years or more, well beyond the average ICE vehicle.

With this in mind, should fleets consider adding used EVs? Vehicles doing frequent shorter journeys

that can charge overnight are ideal candidates. With BEV residual values having declined significantly across European markets – and that decline expected to continue into 2027 and 2028 – used BEVs represent compelling value right now. But the window may be closing. As new BEV registrations slow, the supply feeding into the used market will reduce and choices will become more limited.

TAKING THE LEAD

Retail customers have already spotted this opportunity, and they are spending their own money. As professional fleet operators, the advantages of used BEVs deserve serious attention. Fewer moving parts mean fewer breakdowns and longer service intervals. Updates are deployed over the air. There are no wet belt failures. A used BEV, already past its steepest depreciation, combined with financing that is not tied to restrictive mileage and short-term residual value management, offers exceptional whole-life value.

There has never been a better time to onboard used electric vehicles – but act quickly, as retail buyers are already reducing available stock.

“There has never been a better time to onboard used electric vehicles.”

INNOVATION IN RISK MANAGEMENT

GEOTAB

Geotab’s Predictive Maintenance and Safety Hub has delivered huge savings for clients. By unifying data from 312 different OEM feeds –including JCB, Volvo, and Ford – into one ‘single pane of glass’ , Geotab saved Tarmac a staggering £2.3 million in fuel. Its ability to ‘hear’ mechanical failures before they happen and provide in-cab AI coaching has delivered a 25% reduction in speeding across some of the UK’s highest-risk infrastructure fleets.

INNOVATION IN COST REDUCTION

MOTIA

In an era of escalating insurance premiums, Motia has turned telematics data into a bankable financial instrument. By linking vehicle data directly to HDI Global’s underwriting benchmarks, the system delivered a staggering 61% claims frequency reduction for Collett & Sons and a 15% premium cut for Hannon Transport. This innovation shifts fleet management from reactive claims reporting to proactive risk prevention, proving that safety is the most effective driver of the bottom line.

INNOVATION IN MOBILITY

THE ELECTRIC CAR SCHEME

The Electric Car Scheme’s market-first Used EV Salary Sacrifice platform is the great ‘democratiser’ of 2026, with 70% of orders now coming from basic-rate taxpayers. By integrating multiple funders into one digital marketplace and allowing employees to salary sacrifice the electricity itself, they have made EV ownership affordable for the entire workforce. For breaking the final financial barrier to mass adoption, they are our mobility winners.
