Thisprojectsgoalwastore-�itacontemporarylivingroomsuitableforaprofessionalworkingpredominantlyfromhome.Creatingcohesionbetweenafunctionalworkingspace &aserene,relaxinglivingareawasthemainaim.Thiswasaccomplishedbycreatingaminimalspace,devoidofclutter&usinganeutral,yetairycolourpalette.
Thesampleboardconveysanimportancesenseofharmonywithacohesivecolourpaletteandvaryingtexturalelements.Richwoodtones,warmlighting&theincorporationof greenerycreateawarm&homelyatmosphere,enhancedwiththeneutralmaterialelementstocreateawellroundedspaceforforbothpurposes.
Fromcreatingthiscollage&sampleboard,Ilearnttheimportanceofhowawellbalanced,cohesivecolour&materialpalettecanin�luencehowthedesignisportrayed.

Observationaldrawingfromlifeenabledmetodevelopmyideaofproportionand perspective.
Thethumbnailsketchesallowedmetofurtherexploredepthandshadowwithin mypencilrendersonasmallscalewithacombinationofhatchingandblended shading.

Thiswasmy�irstexplorationintofurnituredesigncreatingaspacesavingbookcasethatcan transformintoacosyreadingnook.IalsodesignedaJapaneseinspiredbenchwithslidingwoven doorsandlinencushions.Thematerialsusedarecohesivewiththesampleboard.
Bothdesignscanbeseeninthephysicalmodel.
