SecondarystudentsalsoparticipateinourHousesystem.Eachstudentisplacedinoneofthreehouses.Therearetwo competitions:TheTalonTournamentandTheGauntletGames.Wehaveanannualfeastandanend-of-the-yearformal.We alsohavemultipleeventssuchastheChristmasdecoratingparty.Housesareencouragedtoseekoutserviceopportunitiesin thecommunity.

Enrollment

Allchildrenarewelcometoapplyforadmission;wedonotdiscriminateonthebasisofrace,genderorreligion.Our statementoffaith,mission,andvisionareclear:ouraimistodisciplestudents,teachingthemallthatJesuscommanded.

ChildrendiagnosedwithalearningdisabilityarewelcometobeapartofTheJubileeSchoolsolongastheycanmeet,orbe assistedtomeet,thedisciplinestandardsoftheclassroom,discussions,anddailyroutine.

Studentsapplyingforadmissionsshouldhaveadesiretoreceivethisformofeducation Wedonotmindassistingparentsin fosteringthisdesire,butthestudentneedstoattheveryleastbe“willingtobemadewilling”tobediscipled.

Part-time Students

TheJubileeSchooldesirestoassistasmanystudentsaspossible,butthestructureoftheschoolnecessitatesa communityofstudentsworkingtogether.Forthisreason,TheJubileeSchoolwillnottakepart-timestudentsunless uniquecircumstancesareinvolved.

DRESS CODE

ATTENDANCE

TheJubileeSchoolhasintentionallysetitsvacations,schedule,andstructuretoallowimportanttimeforfamilies.By registeringachildinTheJubileeSchool,theparentorguardianisagreeingtothisscheduleanditislovingtothechild’s teacherandcommunityofstudentstobeinattendance.

Emergenciesandsicknessarisefromtimetotime;thereforestudentshave8academicdayswithineachsemesterforschool absenceswithoutconsequencetotheircreditsunlesspre-approvalsarearranged.Weaskthatparentscontactthesecretary eitherbyphone,email,orClassreachtolettheschoolknowwhenastudentwillbeabsent ParentsofPrimarystudentsare responsibleforcontactingteacherstofindoutaboutmissedassignmentsorquizzes Secondarystudentsareresponsible forcontactingtheirteachersandmakingarrangementstomakeupassignmentsortakequizzes

TheJubileeSchoolshouldbenotifiedofanysevereallergiesorhealthconcerns.OurPrimaryPrepprogramisrequired tohaveacopyofimmunizationrecordsorasignedwaiverforeachchild.WedonotcollectthesedocumentsforPrimary orSecondarystudents.

Administration of Medicines

TheJubileeSchooladministrationiswillingtoadministeranyover-the-countermedicationtothechildrenintheir careonlywithauthorizationfromthechild’sparentorguardian.WehaveTylenolandAdvilonhandalongwith basicfirstaid.Wenolongerprovidecoughdrops.

Prescriptionmedicationcanbeadministeredonlywhenthefollowingconditionsaremet:

1.ThemedicineisbroughttoTheJubileeSchoolinitsoriginalcontainerbytheparentandisdelivereddirectly tothedesignatedadministrators Undernocircumstancesshouldachildhandlehisorhermedication

Illness

In consideration of your young student’s wellness and preventing thespreadofillnesstoyourchild’sclassmatesand teachers,astudentshouldbesymptom-freeafull24hoursfromthefollowingbeforereturningtoonsiteclasses:

● Fever Temperatureof100degreesorabovewithouttheuseoffever-reducingmedication

● Vomiting/diarrhea

● Rash

● Persistentcough

CHILD SAFETY

Allfaculty&staffreceivecriminalbackgroundcheckseverytwoyears,andarerequiredtoparticipateinaChildSafety Course

The“MoreThanTwoRule”ofstudent/facultygatheringsisourstandardprotocol Duringone-on-onepullouts,clear visibilitywillbemaintainedatalltimesthroughanopendoororwindow.
