IftheHeadofSchoolhasdeterminedthatthestudent’swordsorbehaviorconstituteaSerious DisciplineCase,thestudentwillbesubjecttoadisciplinehearingbeforeaselectcommittee.The disciplinehearingwillincludethestudent,theparent(s),theteacher(ifapplicable),theHeadof School,andschoolboardmembers.Atthispointtheschoolboardwilldeterminethenecessary courseofactionwhichmayincludesuspensionorexpulsionofthestudent.Tuitionwillnotbe reimbursedforsuspensionsorexpulsions
Re-Admittance
Shouldastudentwhowasexpelled,orwhowithdrewtopreventexpulsion,desiretobereadmitted toOaksClassicalAcademyatalaterdate,theywouldrequireadisciplinehearinginvolvingthe parents,teachers,andschoolAdministration.TheEducationCouncil,inconsultationwiththe HeadofSchool,willmakeadecisionbasedonthestudent'sattitudeandcircumstances.
ElectronicDevicePolicy
Useofpersonalelectronicdevices(ie,phones,smartphones,portablegamingdevices,smart watches,etc.)bystudentsisprohibitedoncampus.Suchdevicesmaybebroughttoschoolifthey remainoffandinstudent’sbackpacks.Useofpersonalelectronicdevicesmustreceivepre-approval andmustbecheckedinwiththeirteacherduringschoolhours
