GENERAL POLICY Hastings Christian Academy Uniform Policy is founded in a desire to cultivate a professional culture that is neat, orderly, and to honor God in our attire. This policy is based on the following principles: Gentlemen Hair must be kept in a traditional boys haircut, above collar and neatly groomed No coloring or unnatural look of hair permitted. No distinctive lines or different lengths of hair No chains, earrings, body piercing jewelry or visible tattoos Watches are the only visible jewelry allowed for boys; they can not make noise, have smart technology, or be cumbersome to wear If watches becomes a distraction the teacher has the discretion to request it be removed Shirts must be tucked in Belt must be worn Ladies Hair must be natural colors and feminine Hair accessories must be fitting to the style of the uniform, which is modest and conservative Primary students: no makeup or artificial nails Nail polish is allowed as long as the colors are classy and fitting to the uniform Earrings are allowed and must be classy and fitting to the uniform; no body piercing jewelry Watches can not make noise, have smart technology or be cumbersome to wear If hair accessories or jewelry become a distraction, the teacher has the discretion to request they be removed
