This report is the outcome of the 2025 Envision Resilience Midcoast Maine Challenge, a multidisciplinary and multi-university design studio addressing the urgent challenges related to climate change in Bath and Harpswell, Maine. Graduate and undergraduate students studying architecture, urban planning, public art and landscape architecture partnered with local stakeholders through an iterative process that produced speculative designs for adapting neighborhoods, parks, businesses and waterfronts to mitigate rising sea levels, address housing challenges and tackle other stressors related to a warming planet. This document compiles the research, design strategies, interventions and community-informed visions that blend environmental resilience with social equity, cultural heritage and economic vitality.
