CEDIA 2026 Q&A: So Much to Experience By Mark J. Pescatore More than 65 first-time exhibitors join more than 300 exhibiting brands on the show floor, but that’s just a taste of what’s at this year’s CEDIA Expo. Jason McGraw, group VP and show director of CEDIA Expo, provides some insights about this year’s show, the industry in general, and plans for moving the show in 2027 and beyond. After four years, we’re saying goodbye to Denver, at least for now. Why the decision to move cities? JASON MCGRAW: We’ve had four great years here, and the city has really embraced our industry and community. That said, part of our long-term strategy is to move the event to different major convention destinations, and in 2027 we’ll head to Las Vegas. We currently have dates in Orlando and Las Vegas, and we’ll plan a return to Denver in the future as well. Ultimately, rotating the show geographically benefits our whole community—moving the event around makes it more accessible to different parts of the industry over time.
What’s new at CEDIA Expo this year? JMG: AI is one of the biggest topics of conversation across the industry, and attendees will see that reflected in several new experiences, including the IMCCA AI Lab at Booth 1132. This hands-on, interactive area lets attendees sit down with experts and try out different AI tools firsthand at various stations. We’ve already received hundreds of new product submissions ahead of the show, including new offerings from ADI, AVPro, Crestron, Josh.ai, Lutron, Origin Acoustics, Paradigm, Savant, Sony, and URC, who have been teasing major unveils online ahead of the show. For most attendees who don’t make it to other trade shows, CEDIA Expo is their first chance to see these products in person, which is really at the heart of why industry pros come to the show: new products, education, and networking. How healthy is the residential market, and why is CEDIA Expo an important show for residential tech professionals? JMG: The residential technology market remains
healthy, and the opportunities for integrators keep expanding well beyond traditional AV. Historically, the core of the show centered on audio, video, and home theater, and in recent years, lighting has become a bigger part of Jason McGraw what integrators install. Now that ecosystem has grown to include energy storage and management, security, outdoor living, wellness, sustainability, AI, and robotics—all systems that need to be talking to each other throughout the home. That expansion represents a real growth opportunity for the industry. That growth is also why CEDIA Expo brings together manufacturers, integrators, architects, designers, builders, distributors, and industry leaders under one roof. It’s where professionals come to learn what’s next, strengthen relationships, compare solutions, and find new business opportunities.

Crestron Launches Configure Pro By Anthony Savona BOOTH 2000 You may notice something is different about Crestron’s booth this year: Instead of focusing solely on traditional product rollouts, the company is placing its new configuration platform center stage. Michael Short, VP, marketing operations and residential for Crestron, discusses what is in store for attendees. What’s Creston’s theme at CEDIA Expo this year? MICHAEL SHORT: Our pure focus this year is on Configure Pro: Our new platform for setup configuration of Crestron Home. Configure Pro allows faster deployment, more flexibility, and the ability to deliver that client’s vision way easier than before. Every single space in the booth has that singular thread running through it. Now, the fun thing with that thread is we have lots of cool things going on wrapping around it that pull into that platform. Whether we’re talking about keypads, touchscreens, audio, or video, every element of what we’re showcasing focuses on the Configure Pro platform that has been built for the dealers.
Is Configure Pro in dealers’ hands yet? MS: Yes, it is fully launched. We put it out on beta at CEDIA Expo last year, and for the past 10 months we’ve been releasing new versions of the beta software through our early access program. We’ve been going back and forth with dealers on changes and then it went officially live in June. This Expo is the first time we’re showing the full capability of the platform. With that, we’re going through all our product lines and showing them what we’ve done to improve the flow and abilities for each of those areas. On our keypad wall, we brought out all our new keypads from last year—Cameo 2 and Horizon—to show how that configuration works within the platform. We are showing the top five things that you can do in Configure Pro to improve how you configure, find, engrave, and build those keypads out in the platform. Every station is going through that type of experience, really showcasing that simplicity, speed, and flexibility across the entire range.
From left: John Clancy, John Yohanna, Michael Short, and Giles Sutton Can you give us a brief taste of the new products coming soon? MS: Outside of Configure Pro, we do have a few announcements that we are showing as tech previews in our booth. We announced our 80 Series touch screens earlier this year, and they are making their debut at Expo with some new expansions coming to that lineup. We also have some new lighting products that will support faster deployments and the LED lighting era. What kind of training are you offering at this year’s show? MS: We have three sessions on Thursday, all about an introduction and overview of Configure Pro. Those will be offered at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. in Room 102.

Just Video Walls Champions MicroLED By Anthony Savona BOOTH 3000 Video wall technology continues to gain momentum in the custom integration space, and Just Video Walls is continuing its mission of simplifying MicroLED for the residential market. Skyler Meek, chief marketing officer at Just Video Walls, discusses the company’s new product launches and the future of MicroLED technology in the industry. What are Just Video Walls’ goals at this year’s CEDIA Expo? SKYLER MEEK: It’s the same as what our origin story has been from day one. We started off as integrators getting into the MicroLED space for clients. We had an inaugural sports bar client that kept asking for video walls. By the third time they asked, we thought maybe we should get into this category. That process started in 2020 and was a total nightmare—the biggest headache of all time. We went down all the paths to figure out how to quote, spec, and install it. And nobody was there to help us, reassure us, or take to help de-risk the endeavor.
Through that process, we realized there is a whole segment of integrators on the residential side who don’t have the time or prowess to go do this. We saw a huge opportunity to help them get into this market because it’s coming. That was the mission from day one, and it’s still the mission. Last year you introduced five MicroLED solutions. What can people see this year? SM: We’ve slimmed down what we’re showing because we’ve focused our efforts. This year we have four walls on display across three main products. Lunar Phase: Shown in standard 16:9 and ultrawide aspect ratios. Absolute Black: Our top-tier flagship display. Outdoor Video Wall: Now on its third generation of refinements, located on the back side of our booth facing CinemaTech. We are also showing a specific pixel pitch display featuring 0.9, 1.2, 1.5, and 1.8mm options. We want to give dealers the proper way to pitch and sell. Pixel pitch shouldn’t be sold strictly based
Skyler Meek on viewing distance; image cohesion is also very important. You could stand 30 feet away beyond where pixels disappear, but the 0.9mm is still preferred for motion and color. What should dealers new to video walls take away from visiting your booth? SM: We estimate 70-80% of dealers still haven’t tried MicroLED. The revenue opportunity here rivals lighting and shading. We want dealers to know they don’t have to be scared. We don’t compete with integrators or sell direct. We provide 33-page engineering documents, industry-leading training, and design software that lets you generate a quote and customer proposal in five minutes without needing deep technical expertise upfront. We are here to bring certainty to the process.

CEDIA Expo Session Offers Advice for Resimercial Work By Mark J. Pescatore Shawn Hansson, CEO and founder of Logic Integration, is presenting “Vertical Playbooks for Resimercial” at CEDIA Expo at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. Part of the Education Conference, the 90-minute session is designed to provide guidance for residential integrators looking to crossover into light commercial integration. As the line between the markets continues to blur, he observed that while several manufacturers are developing more commercial products, many residential integrators are bringing residential products into commercial spaces. Though Hansson admitted they have limitations, there doesn’t seem to be a big problem when some residential control solutions find their way into restaurants and small conference rooms. However, when integrators install consumer-grade gear (such as streaming devices) as a lower-cost solution for high-end projects, residential integrators start to build a bad rap. The result is often thousands of dollars of high-end equipment patched together with lowquality extenders and connectivity infrastructure, a combination that becomes a “science project” that leaves engineers chasing demons in the system. “It is definitely not the way to go,” Hansson says. “A lot of them are not doing it right.” Hansson is not afraid to admit his company faltered when it initially began working in the commercial space in 2007. A poorly installed speaker project—without safety cables, among other issues—was a wake-up call for training. “It’s really about having the resources to do it right,” he advises.

Featuring free native Crestron Home IR drivers, installers can deploy one FX-Air1 per indoor unit, creating a fully integrated multi-room HVAC solution for a fraction of the cost of traditional wired systems. At the heart of the FX-Air1 is Flex’s exclusive Learn & Go technology, powered by the intelligent Protocol Engine. Instead of learning every infrared command individually, installers capture
just one command from the original air conditioner remote. The Protocol Engine automatically identifies the IR protocol and generates the remaining commands, reducing commissioning from dozens of learned codes to a simple twostep process.

Creating a Backyard Glow-Up Cactus Sight and Sound use PureEdge Lighting and its newly added lighting capabilities to upsell a small outdoor AV job into a marquee project. By Anthony Savona
W
hen Chase Goodman, owner of Cactus Sight and Sound in Tempe, Arizona, received a call from a local pool contractor to work on another backyard project together, he knew he wanted this one to be different. “We had met on another project where I had a relationship with the client, and he was building their pool,” recalls Goodman. “On that project, we just did the outdoor audio. It was a beautiful backyard, but the lighting that they used was Home Depot pancake lighting.” He did not want that to happen with this client. Goodman continues, “When we left the initial meeting with the new client, I said, ‘We’re not going to do the same lighting that we did at that other project, right?’ That was a big miss, as that client would have spent the money, but at the point that I was involved, it was too late. He said I should pitch it to the new client and see what happens. “So, I went back to the next meeting to go over the AV, and I also put together a lighting lookbook with images that were supplied from PureEdge Lighting. I had drawn out what I thought would work in the space, and she
26 | Lighting Best Practices
wound up cutting back the AV to budget in the lighting I suggested. It took what should have been a $30,000 job and turned it into a $95,000 job just on the lighting. Plus, everybody’s blown away with it—even the guy who built the pool is getting a ton of recognition and buzz in the Phoenix area for that project.”
Getting Started The irony of Goodman’s push for better lighting is not lost on him; after all, Cactus Sight and Sound has only recently gotten into the category themselves. In the past, the company had done some under-cabinet tape lighting, but not much else until they got the call to do a “carte blanche” home theater that was featured in Residential Systems’ September 2023 issue. “After that theater, we started to spec fixtures and tried to be in on the ground floor instead of coming into jobs, seeing what was there, and knowing we had to control it,” says Goodman. “That has been a big challenge for us. It’s much like drapery and shades — not a lot of people think of going to the ‘AV guy’ for those things.”

Goodman acknowledges the steep learning curve with lighting, and, for him, it started coming together at Lightapalooza 2025. “I met several people in those classes who are full-on lighting designers who told me to reach out to them if I needed help and that they’d be glad to collaborate and make sure we’re doing it right. “That is also where I met Blake Matthew at PureEdge Lighting. A few weeks after the show, he came to my office, brought me a demo kit, and got me signed up as a dealer. What’s great about their product is that it is low voltage. We’re not electricians, but we can run that stuff, and that’s been a big selling point for us. Products like PureEdge’s track lights can be used in spaces where traditionally high-voltage products would be used. “We ordered some PureEdge demo products for the shop, and one of their engineers showed me how it all works in an integrated system, which opened up a bunch of doors in my mind. We can take the Lutron app, which I can use with Savant, Control4, and other automation systems, and integrate all these other products that I didn’t even think about. At my house, I just integrated my pool light into the Lutron app using PureEdge’s controllers. It’s opened up a lot of avenues for how we can use lighting products differently.”
Back to the Yard Which brings us back to the now-lighting-heavy backyard project. The pool lights were already in place, so the main job for Cactus was to add lighting to a large, standalone structure next to the pool with an open front and a solid concrete block wall at the back. Four steel beams support the ceiling. The space features a bar, a kitchen, a dining area, and a den. Tape lighting is used throughout the space — under cabinets, toe-kick areas, and under the bar’s counter. The long ceiling that covers the entire space is where Goodman’s vision came into view, particularly over the dining area table. “We needed a fixture over the table, and she didn’t want anything hanging,” explains Goodman. “She wanted to have a clean roof, so I found a PureEdge fixture that would do the job. It’s got a color-changing strip on the inside of the fixture, and then there are three downlights in the middle of it. When you’re standing back, you see the table is lit up, but you don’t see the white light coming through. You just see the glow of whatever color they have on the edges. She loved that.” However, it would not be an easy option to install because the light was designed to be mudded into a gypsum ceiling, and the project’s ceiling was made up of wooden planks. “They didn’t offer it without a flange, so I asked Blake to send me a sample,” says Goodman. “Looking at it, I saw that I could run it through my table saw and cut the flanges off. I’ve got a metal guy, and he welded some aluminum on the edge, and then body-worked it — factory painted it for me
and everything. It came out great, and I think that was my favorite part of the whole project.” And that is saying something because, even after all that prep work, the installation still did not go as smoothly as Goodman would have liked. The three center lights, which stick out about 2 inches into the roof, happened to align with the studs in the ceiling. After some time spent notching, Goodman got the lights to fit. The other standout light in the project is the PureEdge TruLine that runs near the perimeter of the entire ceiling. “Originally, they were going to put the light under the eave, but I told them I thought it would be cooler if we brought it in about two feet off the edge all the way around, just as a highlight accent piece,” says Goodman. “They agreed. “It was my understanding that the PureEdge pieces were going to come cut and ready to go, but they weren’t — they’re field-cuttable. I wasn’t going to cut that upside down along that whole thing, which is around 45 feet long, so I cut them and gave them to the ceiling guys to put in. Next time, I’ll just make a wood placeholder the same width as the light, get it straight, and then let the tongue-and-groove guys come in and do their thing. Then, we just remove the placeholder and lay the light in.” In addition to the TruLine, tape, and table lighting, there are ten downlights under the canopy — six over the bar and four over the seating area. The ceiling also features four James Small Aperture Series speakers and an in-ceiling sub. The lights around the two televisions were supplied by the client. “We also created a waterproof light that hangs over the waterfall that pours into the pool,” says Goodman. “It is a PureEdge light inside a black silicone diffuser, so you don’t see it until the light is turned on.” The entire lighting system is controlled by a Control4 system, which is also used in the main house.
Just the Beginning Since completing this project, Cactus has booked another outdoor lighting job — this one with a pool area triple the size and grounds that include a wellness center. The company also has its first whole-home interior lighting job on the books, which is both exciting and nerve-wracking. “Lighting is important,” says Goodman, “and to get it right the first time has been a challenge. This is going to be our first crack at a whole house and not just a zone like this backyard or a room like the home theater — there are going to be art lights, downlights, pendants, and more. So, it is scary, but it has been a fun thing for us, and it has renewed my team’s enthusiasm. “And not just my team — I’ve had a lot of clients just wanting to simplify and looking for other things they can do in their homes. Good lighting elicits strong emotions from clients and leads to more business.” For more information, visit www.pureedgelighting.com.

A Metropolitan Design Sensibility Comes to Cheyenne How Imagine More delivered a glare-free, scene-driven lighting experience for a custom new build.
The Challenge The Kellers’ previous residence was a typical non-custom build, with fixture placement, color temperature, and beam spreads that felt largely unintentional and inconsistent. The lighting lacked warmth, flexibility, and the ability to highlight the features they cared about most. Having experienced the difference between a lived-in space that had been designed and one that had simply been wired, they were determined that their new home would be the former. A visit to the Imagine More experience center made the possibilities tangible. Seeing the impact of layered, warm dim lighting in a real environment helped the Kellers understand how the right lighting could

hen Tanya and Trent Keller relocated to Cheyenne, Wyoming, from a major metropolitan area, they brought with them a design sensibility not commonly found in the local market. Their new custom home, built with Progressive Construction and Brittany Langley of Local Home Design, was conceived as a carefully considered exercise in intentional architecture. Every decision, from material selection to ceiling detail, was treated as an opportunity rather than a default. Lighting was central to that vision from the start. The Kellers prioritized eliminating glare and ensuring every fixture placement felt deliberate, with lighting used to highlight key architectural and design features throughout the home. A clean ceiling aesthetic with quiet, minimal trims was a top priority, along with consistent light levels and precise beam control. Imagine More, the Cheyenne-based technology integrator led by owner Lenard Gale, was engaged to design and deliver the lighting system. DMF Lighting was specified as the primary architectural lighting platform, allowing the team to achieve uniformity, excellent glare control, and flexibility in beam angles across a single product family. “The homeowners came in with a strong sense of what they wanted the home to feel like, and lighting was central to that from day one,” says Gale. “Our job was to translate that vision into a cohesive, thoughtfully planned lighting experience that would elevate the architecture and support how they actually live.” In several key areas, the lighting led the design. Imagine More collaborated closely with the homeowners and the interior designer early in the process to ensure ceiling details, millwork, and focal points aligned with the lighting plan. The result is a home in which the lighting feels fully integrated into the architecture rather than added after the fact.
transform the feel of every space and inspired them to replicate that quality throughout their new home. From there, the non-negotiables were clear: precise dimming and optics, intuitive daily controls, meaningful energy efficiency, and a system that could adapt as their needs evolved. The great room added another layer of complexity, with tall, sloped ceilings that demanded careful selection of beam spreads and lumen outputs to deliver balanced illumination across the volume. “Standard builds have lighting layouts, but they rarely have lighting design,” says Gale. “For a home this considered, we needed a product platform that could deliver on every layer without compromise.”
Lighting Strategy Imagine More developed a fully layered lighting plan that addressed both the architecture and the way the Kellers live in the space. DMF downlighting established consistent, comfortable ambient illumination throughout the home. DMF accent fixtures were positioned to highlight artwork and architectural focal points, while undercabinet task lighting illuminated work areas. Fixture placement was coordinated around both the floor plan and the ceiling elevations. In the great room, beam spreads and lumen outputs were selected specifically to address the tall, sloped geometry, with

fixtures positioned to deliver optimal illumination over the kitchen island while enhancing the overall architectural feel of the space. Every angle and ceiling height was considered in advance to ensure that the final result felt polished, intentional, and comfortable. “The great room was the space where the lighting strategy really had to earn its keep,” says Gale. “Tall, sloped ceilings are unforgiving. The right beam spread and lumen output on the right fixture in the right location is the difference between a space that feels dramatic and one that feels harsh.” DMF Lighting was selected as the primary architectural lighting platform because it offered a single, cohesive product line capable of meeting every requirement the Kellers had identified. A consistent aesthetic across the home, a wide range of beam spreads, multiple trim finishes, articulating fixtures where needed, and DMF’s warm dim technology all came together in one platform, eliminating the need to mix and match brands to satisfy different spaces. After two years of specifying DMF across a range of projects, Imagine More has developed a deep working knowledge of the platform and brought that experience directly to the Keller home. Warm dim was the defining choice. The Kellers did not feel they needed full tunable white, but they were drawn to the warmth, subtle color shift, and incandescent-like quality that warm dim delivers as the fixtures dim down. It created exactly the atmosphere they wanted for winding down in the evening and entertaining guests, without the added programming complexity of a DALI or DMX system. “Dimming performance and overall quality were our strong push for DMF,” says Gale. “The homeowners didn’t fully appreciate the difference until they were living with it. Now they tour other homes and immediately spot the difference. They’ve become advocates for the product without us ever asking them to be.” The regressed modules also played an important role in the Kellers’ experience of the finished space. By keeping the light source tucked up inside the housing, the fixtures virtually eliminate the direct glare that so often undermines comfort in residential lighting. The ceiling plane reads
as quiet and clean, and the light itself feels soft and enveloping rather than sharp. The lighting system is fully integrated with Control4, the same platform Imagine More deployed across the home for lighting, shading, and broader automation. DMF’s warm dim fixtures integrate cleanly with Control4 through standard dimming, which simplified programming and kept the installation straightforward. Installation of the DMF recessed fixtures was smooth from start to finish. Because the Kellers selected warm dim rather than tunable white, no specialized control protocols such as DALI or DMX were required. The fixtures wired up as standard dimming loads and integrated cleanly with Control4, which kept the electrical scope simple and the programming efficient.
Results & Impact The Kellers came into the project with a working understanding of what layered lighting could do, but the experience of actually living with it has exceeded what they imagined. The warm dim fixtures have become a particular favorite, delivering the relaxing, candlelit quality they wanted for evenings at home. They have grown fluent with the scenes, making their own adjustments as the seasons change and the sun shifts, and have come to recognize immediately when they walk into a home whose lighting has been treated as an afterthought. It is a quality that sets their Cheyenne home apart from much of what they see around them. For Imagine More, the business case has been equally strong. DMF continues to deliver on multiple fronts. The product is protected from online resale, which preserves integrator margin. The installation and programming are straightforward, which reduces labor and risk. Reliability has been excellent, which minimizes callbacks. And DMF’s support infrastructure and industry-leading warranty give Imagine More confidence that the Kellers are set up for the long term. Seen at CEDIA Expo 2026 DMF Artafex 1 Since its launch, the oneinch downlight has been a designer’s dream and an integrator’s compromise, beautiful from below, but limited to accent use by low output, harsh glare, and serviceability headaches. DMF’s new Artafex 1 ends the trade-off. It’s an one-inch architectural downlight engineered for exceptional glare control and true versatility, handling ambient, task, and accent lighting from a single, virtually invisible aperture, well beyond the accent-only role one-inch fixtures have traditionally played. At the heart of Artafex 1 is a 3-Stage Optic (patent pending) in a one-inch fixture. Pairing precision glass and silicone optics, it delivers powerful output with virtually no glare. The Adjustable configuration adds 360-degree directional aim and 35 degrees of tilt, giving installers precise, repeatable control over where the light lands. 32A| Lighting Practices universalBest AC-to-DC remote driver powers up to five fixtures from 100
feet away. An integral DC Regulator ensures uniform brightness, and it and the light engines are serviceable from below the ceiling plane, no drywall damage, no callback dread.

Get Hired Early, Get Paid for Your Expertise By Grant Morgan For too long, integrators have had to fight against being brought into projects as a last step or afterthought. Fortunately, Josh Christian, CEO of Home Technology Association (HTA), brought strategies and tips to help integrators turn their expertise into paid early involvement in his Tuesday morning CEDIA education session, “How to Get Hired Early: How to Be Seen as an Early-Stage Design Team Member Instead of a Contractor.” “Reframe who you are,” Christian encouraged. “Don’t say you’re the ‘AV guy,’ and stop leaning into the stereotype when you’re talking about your services, especially to trade partners.” Rather than lead with audio, video, and controls, Christian advised leading with lighting, shading, energy management, and wellness. “Every client is
going to have technology,” he explained, “but lead off with the things they care about. That will help break out of the stereotype.” The session focused on ways integrators could proactively establish themselves as an essential member of the design team, changing the common perception of being simply a subcontractor to being acknowledged as a vital design consultant. “Architects and designers bring in other consultants on a project, and you deserve a seat at the table,” said Christian. “You are a consultant. When you charge for your design early, that frames you as a consultant. Consultants don’t do things for free. Consultants charge, and trade partners are used to that.” Addressing the need for early and continued collaboration, Christian encouraged session attendees to create a mindset of reaching out and bringing them [designers] into this conversation. “Taking the time
Josh Christian
to slow down and have that mindset makes you so valuable,” he said. Christian also shared resources available to integrators through HTA, with two particularly helpful tools designed to reduce friction and bridge gaps earlier in the process: the Project Technology Assessment and the HTA Budget Calculator.
Pickeleball Meet-Up Connects Expo Attendees If you notice anyone walking around the show floor with a navy badge ribbon that reads, “CEDIA Pickleball 2026,” you’ll know they participated in our third annual meet-up! What better way to kick off three days of wandering inside the Denver Convention Center than getting together with some industry colleagues on the pickleball courts? And this year’s event garnered players from across the U.S. and U.K. A kind of hybrid between tennis and ping pong, pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America for the past five years. Not only is it a fun way to get some exercise, it’s one of the most social sports around, offering a great opportunity to mix and mingle. On Monday, nearly 50 CEDIA professionals— including dealers, manufacturers, installers, public relations, media, and CEDIA employees—got together at 3rd Shot Pickleball in Wheat Ridge (about 15 minutes from downtown Denver) for four hours of pickleball action. “For the second year, we rented out the entire club, 13 courts,” said organizer John Sciacca from Residential Systems, “which allowed us to accommodate more players and have spectators hang out, network, and watch the play. Everyone who came out to play and watch seemed to have a great time, and it was terrific to see this event continue to pick up steam.” Players were divided into advanced, intermediate, and beginner skill groups, and competed in a round robin format across eight matches. Participants had a different partner and opponents for each game,
Nearly 50 CEDIA professionals attended Monday’s pickleball meet-up. giving the maximum opportunity to meet and mix it up with industry peers. “Beyond the competition, it was a wonderful reminder of how strong our community is when we come together, and I’m grateful to all of our sponsors for helping make it possible, all in support of the CEDIA Foundation and its mission,” said Capecelatro. The competition was fierce, with multiple players tying in each bracket requiring scorecard playoffs to determine the winners. Congratulations to Kellen Fleener, co-owner and founder of ODSY, who took gold in the advanced group. Jimmy Lindell of Origin Acoustics took silver, and Sciacca grabbed bronze. PG Gall from Crestron won the intermediate bracket, with Cameron Cox of Everflow Solutions
taking second and Tommy Brand of Phantom Sound grabbing third for the second straight year. Matt Scarborough of Kaleidescape won gold in the beginner bracket, with Veronica Esbona of TIG Global PR nabbing second, and James Smith of Innovation & Tech Today taking bronze. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors—including Caster Communications, CEDIA, Crestron, Daisy, Hegel, Hunter Douglas, IC Realtime, Josh.ai, L-Acoustics, Level Up Automation, Lutron, Origin Acoustics, Somfy, Sonos, Stealth Acoustics, Theory Audio, and TIG Global PR—there were giveaways and prizes, including a T-shirt and microfiber sports towel. The event raised enough money to donate more than $5,000 to support the CEDIA Foundation, which provides scholarships and grants to fund industry education, certification, and career development.
