ALUMNI CLASS NOTES SPECIAL EDITION

LETTER FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL

MISSION STATEMENT

Washington Episcopal School inspires academic and personal excellence within a joyful learning environment to develop students who are kind, confident, and prepared.

Dear WES Community,

I invite you to dive into this special edition of Alumni Notes, filled with stories and photos gathered over the past year. Each update reflects the many paths our alumni are taking and the lives they are building in communities around the world.

What stands out most is not just what they are doing, but who they are. Their experiences are varied and wide-ranging, yet a common thread runs through their stories: curiosity, compassion, resilience, and a willingness to step into new opportunities. A WES education does not narrow a path—it opens doors. Our alumni carry forward the habits of kindness, the confidence to try, and the preparation to grow that began here.

We are especially grateful that so many of them remain connected to WES. When alumni visit campus, speak with students, or share their journeys, it deepens learning beyond the confines of a textbook. Their presence reminds our current students that the values they practice now truly matter, and that the WES community is one that endures.

Read on to uncover accounts of alumni traveling across continents to reconnect with classmates, pursuing the arts and sciences, building families, launching careers, and exploring new callings. Their stories inspire us, and we are proud to have been part of their foundation.

With appreciation,

Head of School
