PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Student development and services that is offered to Tshwane University of Technology students for counseliing and assit with academic stress that they go through, its mission is to help students with their academic journeys and make their tertairy experience mcuh easier. The building is located at Tshwane University of Technology pretoria west campus, The space will have a flavour of african aesthetic and modern look while maintaining a institutional design look suitable for both students and staff. The brief was to transform the space that will both function as a counseling office and study space , from the entrance the reception will be redesigned to make it inviting and safe for anyone to come in.
CONCEPT DESCRIPTION
A calm and safe counselling space is a well deserved space for tertiary students to escape from the out side world, stress free space that is inviting and serene environment filled with postive energy from the interior space and the staff members. Is a area where privacy and confidentiality is of its importance.To achieve an iinvitng atmosphere is formulating a concept named ZURI , zuri is a quiet power of beauty and graceful form. Inspried by the swahili word which means beautiful and pure, it embraces the nature of harmony found in simplicity. Through that I was able to merge that experience into what the office need to forfill a calming environment for each students that steps into the office.

During my site visit at Tshwane University of Technology , Pretoria campus, I conduct an investigation and recorded virtal information of the site and being aware of are the issues that affect the functionality of the interior space and what imporvements that will needed in the student development services which is the building that will be redesigned . I went even further and asked students need when using the services that is provided.

PRECEDENT STUDY
Robert Sike who is the architect and designer of a 25m2 small apartment named the Tuynhuys which is situated in Cape Town CBD. What I love about this apartment is the minimalistic look it has and how well the space is utilized . the choice of materials really gave it luxuries look and feel and ROBERT has said ‘Ãt forces us to be inventive and really think outside the box’’. This inspired me to maximize vertical storage and maintain functional space.
