ALPHA CONGRESSIONAL INTERNSHIP

ALPHA PHI ALPHA FRATERNITY, INC.

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is pleased to announce that it is accepting résumés and applications for the Alpha Congressional Internship. Qualified applicants must be a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and an undergraduate student or graduate within the last year.

Interested applicants should possess a positive attitude and the ability to learn, comprehend quickly and work effectively with others in a fastpaced environment. Effective communication skills, both oral and written, are also a plus. A cumulative GPA of 2.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale is required.

Opportunities are available in Washington, D.C. and in District offices throughout the year. Internships are unpaid, and interns generally work for approximately three months. Internships provide an excellent opportunity to learn about the inner workings of Congress, government agencies and the legislative process.

Applications must be received no later than the deadlines below to be reviewed for consideration. Students have an opportunity to earn academic credit.

The dates for the Congressional Internships are:

Spring January 9, 2012-May 18, 2012
