Uniform Policy
Coram Deo Academy’s Uniform Policy is rooted in a desire to honor God in all we do, acknowledging the Lordship of Jesus Christ in our choices, including clothing that is modest and respectable. By doing this, we create and promote a learning environment that reinforces the truth that God has made humanity in His image, male and female, and that there is beauty and glory in His intentional design of each child as either a boy or a girl.
Our policy is based on the following principles:
All human actions reveal and communicate the disposition of the heart at some level. It is our desire to use the policy as a means of addressing these heart issues rather than seeking to anticipate and curb the numerous iterations that surface throughout the year with a looser dress code.
Uniforms help promote unity between students in our school When our students are in uniform, it visually communicates that they are part of the same team - image-bearers of Christ striving towards academic excellence.
The neat appearance created by a uniform enhances a ready-to-learn atmosphere. Clothing represents vocational calling, and inherent in the policy is a desire to create an environment that de-emphasizes the social impact of dress and helps focus the students’ attention on character and academic issues instead
The uniform policy addresses security. Whether students are in class, on the playground, or on a field trip, teachers and staff can clearly identify students from outsiders
The cooperation of students, parents, and teachers is necessary to maintain the uniform standard Parents, guardians, and students, we are are expected to cooperate with uniform policy and monitor their child’s uniform readiness.
