In November, Ana Tome, supervisor from the MICE team at Quickly Travel, had the opportunity to participate in the FAMTOUR in London and attend the IBTM fair, invited by our partnerInspire MICE.
Before the event in Barcelona, the FAMTOUR offered a complete experience, including visits to London’s main tourist attractions and different accommodation options, expanding our knowledge of the destination for corporate events.
IBTMis recognized as one of the largest global events in the MICE segment, bringing together professionals and showcasing the latest industry trends. The opening day of the fair is traditionally marked by a special attraction to celebrate the occasion.
Throughout the event, we strengthened relationships with strategic partners from around the world, identified new opportunities for future projects, and exchanged experiences with industry colleagues, bringing valuable insights for our upcoming initiatives.

■ What does your department do?
Our Finance Department is responsible for all cash-related operations for the company. We collect payments from customers, pay our suppliers, and ensure smooth financial transactions across the organization. One of our most important responsibilities is making sure we always have enough cash on hand for payroll.
■ Who are your primary customers/clients?
Our primary customers include JTB Corp. in Japan, JTB USA, and various local Japanese companies that purchase our services.
■ What are some challenges or opportunities your department is facing right now?
Right now, we are navigating two major tasks: closing our 2025 financial books while learning and transitioning to JTB Corporation’s new global accounting system, which launched on January 1, 2026. It’s a busy period, but also an opportunity to strengthen and modernize our processes.
■ What do you like most about your department?
Our team works very well together. We communicate openly, support each other, and enjoy participating in company events and activities. We are also a diverse group, and we take pride in the different backgrounds and experiences each member brings. This diversity makes our team stronger and is one of the reasons we genuinely enjoy working together.
■ Any stories you would like to share with JTB employees?
Recently, JTBI hosted curling lessons for employees, and it was a lot of fun! It was a great opportunity for everyone to try something different, relax, and connect as a team. Activities like this bring positive energy into our daily work, and we’re already looking forward to the next event.

70 YEARS OF DISNEYLAND: MY DUMBO DOUBLE DARE CHALLENGE
BY AKI STEWART (JTB USA GBS BT OPERATIONS)
Over the weekend of January 31, I participated in the 2026 Disneyland Marathon Weekend. As a travel agent and longtime runner, this event felt like more than just another race. It was a meaningful way to mark both a personal and historic milestone.
A DECADE OF MILESTONES
2025-2026 marks Disneyland’s 70th anniversary, and I knew I wanted to be there to celebrate. I first ran this event 10 years ago during the 60th anniversary, so returning for the 70th felt like coming full circle. This was my fifth RunDisney event overall, including virtual races and the Dopey Challenge, a 48.6-mile feat I completed in Florida in 2022. (where I ran a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Full Marathon over 4 days).
THE DUMBO DOUBLE DARE CHALLENGE
This year, I took on the Dumbo Double Dare, which includes the 10K on Saturday followed by the Half Marathon on Sunday. Completing both races earns three medals, including a special challenge medal. Seeing the 70th anniversary marking on the medals made them especially meaningful and a perfect keepsake from the weekend.
WHY I RUN
I’m often asked why I continue to run. My running journey began in 2009 at the Honolulu Marathon, just one month after breast cancer surgery. At the time, finishing 26.2 miles felt like proof that I could handle whatever came next. Since then, I’ve run everywhere from city streets to national parks, always for my health and as a way to reflect on how far I’ve come. Whether it’s a 10K or a half marathon, each race is a reminder of resilience, progress, and gratitude.
Here’s to the next finish line.
Both races began at 5am, with courses winding through the parks before sunrise. Running through Disneyland doesn’t require much extra motivation. The park atmosphere and familiar music set the tone from start to finish.
One of the highlights of any RunDisney event is the character photo stops. While the lines during the 10K were long, I was able to stop at all nine character locations during the Half Marathon. Those behindthe-scenes moments and photos are part of what make these races so special.
