Thispicturesquebeachhomeshouldaccommodatethepitter patteroflittlefeetfromyoungfamilies.Thehomeshould displayaclassyandcleanfeel,butalsohaveabeachlike ambianceaboutthelivingquartersperfectforyoungfriends. Withplentyofboardgamesstoredinthelivingroom,the spaceiswelcomingtofunfamilygamenights.Thefinishes throughoutthehomeshouldenhancethewarmandcozyfeel thatthebeachbringsitsvacationers.
ClientProfile:
ThisquaintlittlebeachhouseislocatedinPortAransas, Texas.Thelocationofthehomeisjustaboardwalkaway fromthesoftsandandwarmcrashingwavesofthebeach.The rentalisperfectforyoungfamiliesorcurrentcollegeorhigh schoolstudentslookingforafunlittlegetawayforsummeror springbreak.

EmbracingtheopulenceofaluxuriousNewMexicolifestyle,ourinteriordesignconcept forthisoldercouple'shomeisaseamlessblendofvibrantsunsetcolorsandtranquil sophistication.Theopenfloorplanprioritizesaccessibility,featuringwide,well-lit pathwaysanddiscreteelementsforlimitedmobilityandvision.Boldsunsethues,inspired bytheNewMexicosky,areartfullyintegratedwithcalmingneutrals,creatingavisually strikingyetcomfortingambiance.Thoughtfullydesignedentertainingspacescaterto familygatherings,withstrategicallyplacedguestroomsensuringseamlessovernightstays forchildrenandgrandchildren.Aprivatehobbyspaceoffersaretreatforpersonalpursuits, whilealonggalleryhallwayshowcasesanimpressivecollectionofexpensiveart,providing amuseum-likeexperiencewithinthecomfortoftheirhome.Thisdesignnotonlycaters totheiraestheticpreferencesbutalsoharmonizesluxurywithpracticality,creatinga timelessandinvitinghavenforthisdiscerningcouple.

DesigningahospitalroomthatfollowsADAlawstoallowfor wheelchairboundpatientsandhasasoothingcolorpalettewhich isscientificallyproventoeasethepatients’mood.Biophilic designisincorporatedintothesametoprovideaserene atmosphere.Thisconceptaimstoprovidepatientswitha comfortingandupliftingspaceduringtheirvisit.

Thisclassprojectfocusedontheredesignofan existinghotelonOklahomaStateUniversity’scampus. Theobjectiveofthisprojectwastoreimaginethe hotel’sdesignthroughacontemporarylenswhile ensuringcompliancewithADAstandards.This includestakingtheexistingfloorplanandeditingitto improvecirculationandusability.Inadditiontothe redesign,wewereinstructedtoenhancelighting techniquestoallowforaclearlineofsightinany spaceofthebuilding.

Forthisproject,myportionwastodevelopthe mezzaninelevelofaPACE(ProgramofAll-Inclusive CarefortheElderly)Center.Thisassignmentwasto createafloorplanthatincorporatedtherequired roomsinalayoutthatbestsupportstheelderly patientsthatwouldbeusingthespace.Thisincludes lightingplanstoenhancevisibility,aclearlineofsight throughouteachroom,andcreateacleardistinction ofwherethepatientsshouldbeversuswherethey shouldnotbe.
