We believe in the development of the whole child and work to weave social and emotional learning into daily instruction, thus preparing our students for college and career. Our targeted school-wide goals for the 2023-24 school year included increasing students' foundational skills in reading and math, language, and student safety and belonging.

BULLYING, HARASSMENT, AND SAFETY POLICIES
Our number one priority and goal is to ensure students feel safe, valued, and welcomed on a daily basis. To that end, we have a network of adults, systems, structures, protocols, and other supports we leverage to keep our school as safe as possible. We believe in restorative practices and working collaboratively with families to support our students as they develop their social and emotional skill set. To learn more about the District’s definition and response to bullying and/or harassment, please see Board Policies JFCF and JFCF-AR: Hazing, Harassment and Bullying, as well as the Standards of Student Conduct
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
At Lenox, we strive to offer a variety of opportunities for our students such as Oregon Battle of the Books, Band, Choir, Garden Club, Student Leadership Team, TAG program, and Booster-sponsored activities such as Win with Reading and Science Fair. This year, our STEAM club served over fifty students and had a focus on diverse individuals who have contributed to the development of and research in the area of STEAM.
PARENT ENGAGEMENT
At Lenox, we have an active and highlysupportive Parent Booster Club that provides both volunteers in and around our school, and funding for a variety of classroom and school-wide projects through our annual fun run, Lenox Laps. Our goal is to involve as many families as possible. Back-to-School Night, Welcome Back Conferences, World Literacy Night, Monthly PRIDE! Assemblies, and Science Fair were great ways to connect with families and invite volunteers to support our school.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Examples include Right Brain Initiative Partnership; Read Across America Day; Virtual Field Trips and Guest Speakers; and Booster Club-sponsored events such as Dining Night Out, Movie Nights, and Feast & Festival. We do this by delivering meaningful curriculum and instruction, helping students connect through extracurricular activities, finding representation in our instructional staff, and having a trusted adult to go to when they need someone to talk with. We use Character Strong as our anti-bullying and character development curriculum focusing on social-emotional learning. Administration is present in all hallways, bus ramps, and lunch supervision and uses the HSD student code of conduct handbook.
