Trinity Knox Classical Academy exists to aide parents in discipling children in the truth of the inerrant Word of God, to cultivate wisdom in young minds and hearts, and to teach children to look for truth, beauty and goodness. We seek to raise up a generation of young people who love learning, who think clearly with reason, logic, and discernment and who can effectively communicate. Trinity Knox exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ and to develop world changers through a rigorous classical methodology and comprehensive knowledge of biblical truth.
Staff Highlight Dana Ernst, Teacher
Dana Ernst is a farmer's wife and a mother of five. She happily reports that they have four sons, a daughter, and are also blessed with two daughters-in-law. Their family owns and operates Ernst Farming in the Central Valley of California. A homeschool veteran of 17 years, Dana enjoys reading, running, traveling, and the outdoors—especially near oceans, lakes & rivers. This past year, Dana taught 3/4 grade humanities in the morning, splitting the day with her oldest son Jesse, who teaches math, Latin and science in the afternoon. Next year, Dana will be teaching humanities in the 5/6 class and taking on the responsibilities of Lead Teacher. She read about classical education many years ago and began implementing the principles and methods while teaching her children. She contacted Alyssa after graduating her daughter in 2021 and was thankful to begin teaching at Trinity Knox. We’re thankful to have her here! When asked her favorite thing about our school, she said, “I cannot express enough what a joy & privilege it is to educate the whole-hearted child. We don't only focus on academics. We teach to build the character and habit of the student, showing them what it means to love God with all their heart, soul, and mind. My favorite thing ... I am blessed to walk this journey with them! Never a dull moment!”
