This floor plan knows students spend enough time in “heads-down mode,” so it decided to loosen its tie a little. Designed with elevated details and pockets of play, the space invites curiosity, connection, and the occasional grin.
At its center is a speakeasy that hides in plain sight— tucked behind a bookshelf like it has secrets to tell. Part hideout, part hangout, it turns an ordinary dorm layout into a place where students can discover something unexpected, feel a sense of belonging, and share a moment worth remembering.
MULTI-USE SPACE & CORRIDOR
Whether students are unwinding, collaborating or simply passing through, multiuse spaces and corridors play a vital role in creating a sense of belonging. These areas support moments of relaxation, spontaneous interaction and meaningful community-building outside the dorm room.

Playful and bold, this geometric carpet tile moves beyond traditional school palettes infusing the space with a vibrant, Miami-inspired energy. Its organic layout mimics the feel of custom rugs, while also offering acoustic benefits and visual interest for highly active, shared environments.
2. COLORLINK | RESILIENT
Made in the USA and seamless transitions with the EcoWorx® carpet tiles, ColorLink supports inclusive design with smooth transitions for accessibility. Its highperformance ExoGuard+® top coat ensures long-lasting durability in multi-use areas with constant foot traffic.
3. COLLABORATION TILE | CARPET TILE
In corridor zones, three tones of carpet tile shift from blue to purple, guiding movement and marking the intersection of two dormitory wings. This subtle gradient supports wayfinding while visually reinforcing the idea of connected student communities.
4. WALK OFF | CARPET TILE
More than 80% of the dust and dirt found in commercial spaces is tracked indoors on shoes. Placed at key entries, walk-off tiles serve as a first line of defense against dirt, moisture and debris.
