In 2025: BC had 55 regular members who paid their Annual membership fee. When you pay your CHA membership, you are automatically become a member of the BCHA & the BCHA receives $50 of your CHA membership fee.
Members registered 425 animals & transferred 100 animals. BCHA receives $10 of every transfer completed.
There were 45 members on the Total Herd Enrollment (THE) program.
These members are eligible for the Genotyping Project--see the CHA report on p.4. Thanks to those who are already having their herds genotyped. Please consider enrolling in THE and taking part if you haven't already.
Your BCHA received about $4000 last year from the membership and transfer fees. All of this money plus more went to donations to Juniors/4H members through support of events or award certificates. So please transfer the registered animals you sell and help us continue to support our young people. Ads in the newsletter and our new 2027-2029 Directory and Handbook (which we will be putting together this summer & fall) help cover: advertising in publications, signs in Auction yards, promotions at events to keep marketing Herefords. Please support your Association.
