26 - a contemporary community gallery
enscape, illustrator, indesign, photoshop rhinoceros, sketching
26 is a community art space that welcomes people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to celebrate art. it offers an engaging gallery experience while serving as a reminder of societal inequities. by challenging the sterile “white cube” gallery model, 26 blends contemporary design with the raw materiality of its historic structure, using recognizable, affordable materials to create a familiar and socially accessible space for all.

ANDREW KILGORE PERMANENT GALLERY

the flexible gallery space located on the second floor allows for a variety of traveling exhibits.

color wells extend beyond the parapet and can be seen illuminated at night. fixed corten steel window coverings help to diffuse the strong western light while allowing ambient daylight to enter from the north.
temporary studio spaces
enscape, fabrication, illustrator, indesign, photoshop, revit, sketching, woodworking
with growing student enrollment, two in-house spaces needed to be temporarily re purposed as student studios. by utilizing developing skills in design conceptualization, spatial planning, rendering and technical drawing, these spaces were transformed into functional studios, complete with custom student-designed and fabricated tables that promote collaboration.
