THINKING LIKE A LEADER Academic Foundations at De La Salle

At De La Salle, academic excellence and leadership aren’t separate goals- one builds the other. Guided by the Lasallian Catholic tradition, our academic program is purposefully designed to form the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. We push our students to think critically, act with integrity, and lead with compassion. From the moment a student steps onto campus, he joins a community of teachers who know him- not just his grades, but his goals. Our faculty brings passion, expertise, and dedication to every classroom, forming the kind of relationships that push students to do more than they thought possible. Rigorous college preparatory coursework across core subjects is complemented by an expansive array of electives and Honors/ Advanced Placement (AP) offerings, so every student can explore his passions while preparing for the demands of college and beyond. In every discipline, students are encouraged to test ideas, expand their perspectives, and treat challenges as opportunities to grow. We understand how boys learn, and we build every part of our program around that. 2

We help our young men figure out who they are and what they’re capable of. From cognitive development to physical activity, our educators support the whole student through the presence of strong, compassionate role models- men and women who challenge our students to grow into the best version of themselves. We’re proud of the thousands of graduates who’ve gone on to become pioneers in their fields, advocates for justice, and leaders in their communities. We look forward to preparing the next generation of Spartans for college, career, and life as leaders of character, intellect, and responsibility.
