Alliance MIT’s Club Rush!

What’s up White Tigers! This month we had one of our most important events, which is Club Rush! It was a super hot day but thankful we had the help of 3 of our officers: Esmerelda, Samantha, and Diego. They were able to secure a good spot for our booth and held it down, informing all of the students about what Key Club is and convincing them to join. It was super packed in front of our booth and we went around handing out flyers to every person we saw, so hopefully a bunch of new members show up for our first meeting! That’s all for Alliance, we wish everyone the best and we’ll see you all next month!

Singin’ Slingin’ Barbeque

On September 5 and 6, Burbank High School’s VMA hosted their Singin’ Slinging Barbecue! Key Club members from both Burbank High School and Division 16 South came into help. Volunteers set up tables, sold drinks, sold candy grams, helped break down the set and clean up, and provided other help as needed. Burbank High School’s choir gave a lively, engaging performance filled with song and dance. Volunteers got to both watch and help run the show. With Key Club’s members’ help, the event was able to run smoothly. Burbank High School is so proud of our hardworking choir members and is excited to see their shows, as always!

Ava Lieu

At our most recent Division Council Meeting, we started off with fun games that got everyone laughing and cheering. The cup game tournament was super competitive but still lighthearted, and the icebreakers helped people meet new friends and talk with others from different schools. After all the excitement, we slowed things down and focused on giving back. Members wrote heartfelt letters to teachers and administrators, thanking them for all the hard work they do every day It felt good to show appreciation to the people who guide and support us The mix of fun activities and service made the meeting really special By the end, everyone left smiling, grateful, and feeling more connected to each other and Key Club
