Summer in the Caribbean is a season of vibrant, long sunny days, and memorable moments shared with family and friends. Across our islands, it’s a time when guests fully embrace the relaxed rhythm of island life, whether that means savoring new culinary experiences, reconnecting with loved ones, or simply unwinding in paradise. As always, we’re delighted to share the latest stories, updates, and inspiration from across the Divi family.

One of the most exciting ways we continue to enhance the guest experience is through food, and this summer brings plenty of delicious reasons to visit. In this issue, you’ll discover new culinary offerings across Barbados and Aruba, including the launch of our Sunday Brunch at Divi Southwinds Beach Resort, which has already become a favorite among guests and locals alike. You’ll also find a look at fresh menus, new dishes, and exciting dining updates on pages 6 and 7

For our Divi Vacation Club members, exciting things are on the horizon. While we aren’t quite ready to share everything that’s in store, we’re pleased to introduce Ashley Mann, our new DVC Supervisor. On page 8, you’ll have the opportunity to get to know Ashley and learn more about the experience and enthusiasm she brings to the role as we continue finding new ways to enhance the value of your membership.

Of course, exceptional experiences begin with exceptional people. This issue shines a spotlight on several valued team members at Divi Flamingo Beach Resort, from the kitchen to the dive shop, whose dedication helps create the welcoming atmosphere our guests know and love. We’re also taking a moment to celebrate the careers of longtime team members as they begin their well-earned retirements, while extending a warm welcome to new faces joining the Divi family, including Dive Operations Manager Sarah Cann and our new Sous Chef, who steps into a role previously held by a beloved colleague for more than 40 years. Their stories, along with those of many others who make Divi special, can be found on pages 4 and 5.

We also love seeing our resorts through your eyes. Throughout this issue, you’ll find featured social media posts from guests who have made Divi part of their favorite vacation traditions. A New Chapter in the Divi Flamingo Kitchen

After more than 41 years of dedicated service, Executive Sous Chef Selsio leaves behind an extraordinary legacy at Divi Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino. We will all miss having him at the resort!

Stepping into this important role is Guarav Chuahan, whose passion for hospitality and international culinary experience make him a natural fit for the Divi Flamingo kitchen. We sat down with Guarav to learn more about his journey, his vision for the kitchen, and what guests can look forward to in the years ahead.

Where are you from? What do you like about living on Bonaire?

I am originally from India and have been living on Bonaire for several years. I enjoy the island’s relaxed lifestyle, friendly community, and beautiful surroundings.

What attracted you to this opportunity at our resort?

I was attracted by the resort’s strong reputation and the opportunity to grow professionally while contributing to memorable guest experiences.

How does it feel to follow in the footsteps of a chef who dedicated more than 40 years to the resort?

It is an honor and a responsibility. I respect the legacy that was built and look forward to contributing my own experience and ideas.

What strengths do you hope to bring to the role of Executive Sous Chef?

I bring a strong work ethic, creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to teamwork and excellence.

How would you describe your leadership style in the kitchen?

My leadership style is hands-on, supportive, and team-focused. I believe in leading by example and encouraging open communication.

What makes the dining experience at Divi Flamingo unique?

he combination of great food, beautiful ocean views, and genuine hospitality creates a unique and memorable experience for our guests.

This is a dive-friendly resort - does that affect your approach to cooking?

Yes. I focus on fresh, balanced, and flavorful dishes that complement our guests’ active lifestyles.

Are there any new ideas or culinary experiences you’re excited to introduce?

I am excited to bring more international flavors and diverse culinary experiences to our guests while maintaining the high standards of Divi Flamingo Beach Resort.

What message would you like to share with our guests and team members?

Celebrating a Legacy of Dedication at Divi Flamingo

There are few things more meaningful than gathering together to celebrate the people who help shape a resort’s story. This June, Divi Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino was honored to host a special evening recognizing two beloved members of the Divi family whose dedication, friendship, and service have left a lasting mark on our team and guests alike.

Luis Arboleda, Dive Master

Former and current Divi Dive staff members came together to celebrate the retirement of Dive Master Luis, whose remarkable career with Divi Dive spans over 18 years! Throughout his time with us, Luis became known not only for his professionalism and expertise beneath the surface but also for the warm personality and welcoming spirit he brought to every dive excursion.

Over the years, Luis introduced countless guests to the beauty of Bonaire’s underwater world, helping

create unforgettable experiences and memories that will last a lifetime. Whether guiding seasoned divers or welcoming first-time visitors, he represented the passion and hospitality that have become hallmarks of the Divi Dive experience.

Enrique Molina, Dive Master & Kitchen Steward

We also recognized Enrique Molina, who recently entered his second retirement. After retiring from Divi Dive three years ago, Enrique continued to share his talents by joining the resort’s culinary team, where he worked in the kitchen and remained an important part of the Divi Flamingo family.

His willingness to continue serving guests and supporting colleagues after retirement speaks volumes about his commitment to the resort and the community that surrounds it.

Sarah Cann, Dive Operations Manager

While it is always bittersweet to say goodbye to valued team members, we are equally excited to welcome a new generation of leadership! Earlier this year, Sarah Cann was named Dive Operations Manager at Divi Dive Bonaire, becoming the first woman to lead the award-winning dive operation in its history.

With nearly eight years of experience in Bonaire’s dive industry and a lifelong passion for diving, Sarah brings a deep understanding of both the

guest experience and the island’s unique underwater environment. As she takes the helm, her focus is on creating a welcoming, safe, and unforgettable experience for every diver who visits Divi Dive.

If you’ve connected with the Divi Vacation Club team over the past few years, there’s a good chance you’ve already benefited from Ashley Mann’s knowledge, dedication, and passion for helping Members make the most of their ownership. Since joining Divi in 2021, Ashley has grown alongside the Club, taking on new responsibilities and helping support Members every step of the way. Now, as our newly appointed Vacation Club Supervisor, she’s excited to build on that foundation and continue enhancing the Member experience. We caught up with Ashley to learn more about her journey, what inspires her, and what she is looking forward to in her new role.

What attracted you to this new role?

Honestly, the ability to grow and develop this department into a highly professional team focused on the best Member experience possible.

What do you enjoy most about working with Vacation Club Members?

Being one of their main sources of information and building that relationship. I like helping the new Members understand their agreement, booking windows and benefits. And, it’s gratifying when a Member enjoys a recommendation for a favorite resort or island adventure.

What makes Divi Vacation Club unique?

In addition to the exchange benefit, Divi Vacation Club’s smaller size allows us to create a more personalized experience. Many Members appreciate the sense of familiarity and connection they feel when visiting participating resorts, making each vacation both comfortable and memorable.

What excites you most about the future of the Vacation Club?

Improving the Member experience from start to finish. Helping them better understand their Membership, and the ease of booking a vacation.

How do you and the team keep Members at the center of decision-making?

The Members are what drive the Club. As a team, we ask ourselves whether a decision will make it easier for Members to get the help they need, resolve issues efficiently, and feel valued.

What do you think makes Divi Resorts stand out from other Caribbean resorts?

Divi Resorts offers a more personalized, guestfocused experience than larger resort chains. Many of our returning Members consider our resorts their “second home,” a testament to the exceptional experiences we provide, the genuine hospitality of our staff, and the lasting trust we’ve built through our commitment to service and consistency.

What is your favorite of our Caribbean islands/resorts?

So far, I have only visited St. Maarten and Aruba. Between those two, I’m drawn to the hospitality of the island of Aruba, and the beauty of the natural land. I would love to visit Barbados in the near future.

There’s so much to do on the One Happy Island of Aruba. But being on a tropical island also means that you want to spend plenty of time doing nothing at all, soaking up the sun on a beach chair. So, how do you balance it all? We asked two of our staff members how they would spend one perfect day on Aruba. Copy these 2 itineraries, and fill the rest of your trip with pool and beach relaxation, and we’d say that’s one happy vacation!

My Ideal Day on Aruba

Walk along the high-rise district, stopping at shops, grabbing a frozen drink, or pulling up a beach chair to soak up Palm Beach for a bit. 7:00 AM 8:00 AM 9:30 AM 11:30 AM 12:30 PM 2:00 PM 5:00 PM 6:30 PM

The sun rises on Aruba around 6:30 AM every day. Wake up to birds chirping and the sun already shining. Make a coffee in your suite, or head over to the Coffee Corner at Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort for an iced mocha and a pastry.

Get dressed and walk over to the beachfront fitness center for a quick sweat - because nothing gets your heart pumping like endless ocean views! Or, challenge your travel crew to a friendly pickleball or tennis match before the day heats up.

Grab a taxi for a quick drive to Aruba’s famous Butterfly Farm. Dress in your brightest colors - you’ll attract plenty of butterfly friends!

Grab a hearty lunch and cold beer from Wave Shack pizzeria at Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort. With poolside seating and ocean views, it’s hard not to linger a little longer than planned.

Head onto the beach for a Jolly Pirates snorkel sail. Enjoy open bar on the boat, tasty snacks, great music, and of course, some stunning views above and below the water! It’s truly an ideal way to spend an Aruba afternoon.

Grab a taxi back to your room to unwind and freshen up. Pro tip: grab a cold Balashi beer from the lobby store and catch the sunset from your balcony.

Prime time for dinner on the sand. Pull up a seat at pureocean Restaurant under twinkling lights, savor artful seafood dishes, and toast to island life with a fantastic wine list.

Head over to The Links at Divi Aruba Golf Course for a relaxed 9-hole round, or spend some time at the driving range and practice facilities working on your swing with gorgeous island views all around.

Hail a cab - it’s time for a long, lazy lunch at purebeach Restaurant on Palm Beach. Order the frozen mango margarita, settle into an oceanfront chair, and fully lean into vacation mode.

Trade beach time for a little pampering with a spa appointment at Pure Indulgence Spa. A relaxing massage, fresh pedicure, or facial will have you leaving feeling totally brand new.

Head back to Divi Village for a cool dip in the pool, a stroll along Druif Beach, or a quick afternoon nap before the evening festivities begin.

The team at Divi Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino participated in painting and cleanup activities at the ACE Foundation. This is a foundation that supports youth through arts, culture, and education.

ST. MAARTEN DOET

Divi Little Bay Beach Resort partnered with EPIC St. Maarten for conservation work at Fort Amsterdam, removing invasive grasses to help native plants thrive and protect the pelicans that inhabit the area.
