Countdown to Rodeo! AUGUST 11-13
The Richer Rodeo Committee has been working hard to prepare for the August 11-13 Richer Rough Stock Rodeo. New this year is a tie in with the professional bull riding circuit for Friday night with a Bull Riders of Canada Bullnanza. Following the show will be the annual Giant Cowboy Social! Additionally there is a lot more entertainment at the Busking Stage on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday night will see the return of award winning Ryan Keown on stage! More food trucks will be on-site to keep those lines moving. With the family fun zone, kid train rides, pony rides, reptile show and a petting zoo, the kids should have a blast! Facepainting and balloon creations! The annual parade will again take place
on Saturday venturing down the Dawson from the west end of the community. Two pancake breakfasts to check out. The first Saturday morning at the Young at Hearts Hall and the second in the park under the Premier Tech Multiplex. A Sunday morning Gymkhana will take place in the rodeo arena before the rodeo action. Spectators can check out the skills of competitors as they take on horse and rider challenges to compete for buckles! And the always popular mutton busting, wild pony races and chicken scramble happen on both Saturday and Sunday.
