Community Garden Ramping Up for Spring The new Richer Friendship Community Garden located behind the Richer Young at Hearts Hall is gearing up quickly for spring planting. The Richer Community Club, the Richer Recreation Committee, the Young at Hearts Club, the Ste Anne Food Bank and others came together to create the Richer Friendship Community Garden. The goal of the Community Garden is to provide a welcoming and safe space for us to come together to experience the joy of gardening! Becoming involved with the project allows you an area to grow your own food, including some space reserved for the food bank. All are welcome!
It does not matter whether you are a beginner or an experienced gardener, joining together helps us all create this space into something the community can be proud of. Everyone of all ages is welcomed. Along with FREE plot and raised garden bed registration, this Spring we will also be offering FREE seeds, starter plants and more to those who register. Additionally, we hope to have a summer student onsite to assist those who require help with their plots. If anyone is interested in a garden plot or would like to try a 4’x4’ raised garden planter, continued on next page...
