Reminders for Visiting our Coastline

The Eastern Shore

Please keep these recommendations in mind when visiting ecologically sensitive coastal locations in Nova Scotia:

This historic and nature-filled region is known for its incredible ocean views, world-class surfing, laid-back culture, heritage attractions, independent galleries, shops and eateries, and of course, its beaches.

Leave no trace. Take only photos, and pack out what you pack in.

The Eastern Shore is full of natural wonders like the untouched 100 Wild Islands, and historic communities including Chezzetcook and Musquodoboit Harbour.

Dunes are delicate. Avoid walking and driving on sand dunes.

348

Steer clear of the birds. Shorebirds and seabirds use the coastline as nesting habitats and migration stopovers to rest.
