2026 TRIP CATALOG

This past year reminded us—again—of the extraordinary power of purposeful travel. We watched families bond across generations, strangers become lifelong friends, and our travelers return home not just changed, but renewed. You joined us in dozens of countries, not as tourists, but as curious, compassionate citizens of the world. And together, we proved what we’ve always believed at Discover Corps: when done thoughtfully, travel can truly be a force for good.
At Discover Corps, we don’t do “voluntourism.” We believe in a deeper kind of experience—one built not on fleeting acts of service, but on lasting relationships, cultural exchange, and shared humanity. Our journeys are about connection. They’re about perspective. They’re about seeing the world not just through your own eyes, but through the eyes of the people you meet.
This year, we’ve expanded our catalog with that mission at heart. Whether you’re soaking in the vibrant culture of Antigua, Guatemala on a weekend escape, wandering the colorful souks of Morocco or exploring Vietnam’s stunning landscapes with locals leading the way, each trip is intentionally crafted to immerse you in the soul of a place. And with options to customize your journey—through private departures, post-trip extensions, or meaningful festival experiences—there’s never been a better time to make your travel dreams your own.
Finally, I want to acknowledge our truly international Discover Corps family. From our dedicated team of Travel Specialists to the extraordinary local guides who bring our journeys to life, and the thousands of Alumni who return trip after trip—we’re grateful for each and every one of you. As a parent myself, I’ve seen firsthand the impact these trips can have on a child’s worldview, and the kind of legacy they leave behind. A passport full of stamps is one thing; a passport full of memories is something else entirely.
So whether this is your first trip or your fifteenth, welcome. We can’t wait to explore the world with you—one meaningful journey at a time.
Warmly,

Alex DuBois Executive Director Discover Corps

The mission of Discover Corps is to inspire travelers to become advocates for our planet’s natural wonders, cultural treasures, and local communities.
Travel that connects. Memories that last.

2011.
We are a certified B Corporation (or Benefit Corporation), which means we have passed a rigorous independent audit of our social, environmental, and legal practices. B Corporations are recognized by the State of California as providing a social good.

Most forms of travel generate emissions in the form of carbon dioxide (CO2). To combat this, we calculate the emissions from your vacation and present you with the option of offsetting them through projects that would not have been possible without the offset credits you purchase. Discover Corps partners with Native Energy to offer this option to our travelers.
Discover Corps ensures experienced local guides with certified Discover Corps training on safety protocols, safe transportation (where both the driver and vehicle meet a set of standards), comfortable and secure lodging throughout, healthy food and drinks, and vetted activities and services that have been carefully selected for each group.

Discover Corps takes you to some of the furthest, most unique corners of the world! Whether it’s to villages tucked into Bhutan’s Himalayan Mountains, the famed wildlife reserves of Kenya and South Africa, or the remote Galapagos Islands, we’ve developed a decade’s worth of connections that gives you unparalleled access to the world’s most interesting places. This is also where the best travel stories come from – everyday interactions with the people and projects that you interact with along the way. If you are a curious traveler looking to go beyond the beaten path of most tourists, you’ve found your place.

Our trips are designed specifically for small groups. Most trips never exceed 16 people and average around 6-8 likeminded travelers. This is because the best experiences happen in intimate settings that connect you with the destination and its people. Our trips provide you with access to unique projects and cultural sites, and small groups are the only way to sustainably partner with communities. When you travel with us, rest assured that your small group of like-minded world travelers will experience a safe, close-knit experience in some of the world’s most unique destinations.
Far from the tourists, this is a living space reserved for you. We hand-select the portfolios of accommodations for each one of our trips. These aren’t your typical chain hotels. These are higherend boutique lodges that reflect the colors, charm and character of the destination. On a select few trips, like our Cuba trips, you’ll stay in more basic lodging which includes a mixture of small, local 3-star hotels and casas particulares (in Cuba). Each distinctive accommodation provides a warm place to unwind from the day’s activities and fosters genuine connections with fellow travelers and the local community.

Discover Corps trips are purposedriven journeys that go beyond sightseeing. Each itinerary connects travelers to local communities in meaningful ways, offering deeper insight into extraordinary destinations. From behind-the-scenes experiences like collecting data with conservationists in Kenya to hands-on volunteering at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand, every journey leaves a lasting positive impact—on the communities you visit and on you— turning travel into a transformative experience unlike typical tours.
When you travel with Discover Corps, we ensure that families have access to the experiences we offer with reduced children’s pricing on all trips for those 16 and younger. Additionally, our pricing is inclusive of all transportation, accommodations, activities, and most meals. There are no extra fees or hidden charges – just peace of mind.

Our guides aren’t your typical tour guides. They’re local residents who are experts on the area and its customs. Throughout your trip, they’ll share their lives with you, while introducing you to people and taking you to special local places that most travelers would never know existed. We also prioritize keeping our groups small, with the average group made up of about 6-8 like-minded travelers. This allows us to experience things that big tours of people would never be able to, from visits to the studios of celebrated local artisans, to upclose encounters with exotic wildlife.
Your people. Your fam. Your folks. Your tribe.
However you describe the ones closest to you, they’re the ones who make the moments matter. It’s not just about what you do, but who you’re with. Whether you’re looking to strengthen bonds with loved ones, dive deep into a new culture or get to know like-minded strangers (who will soon become friends), our trips are here for it! Fostering connection is what we do.
Time to connect with family is crucial! DC ismade for families of all shapes and sizes, from those with young children to multi-generational gatherings to couples. In addition to discounted children’s pricing, families value the opportunity for their kids to experience a new culture. Some trips offer collaboration with local students, while others provide intimate encounters with native wildlife; all promise to enlighten and delight travelers of all ages.
Friends are the families we choose for ourselves--those relationships deserve to be nourished! Creating a time and space for the people you love to come together can be a challenge. Let us take on the load, so you are free to enjoy each other and experience something new together. Reconnect with friends in a way you won’t soon forget.
While all itineraries are family friendly, solo travelers also feel right at home on our trips. As our travelers like to say: “Come as strangers, leave as friends!” When possible, we pair you with another solo traveler of the same gender to keep lodging costs down. Alternatively, single rooms are available for an additional fee.

Did you know that you can make any Discover Corps trip private?
While many travelers love the energy that comes with meeting and exploring with like-minded folks, sometimes a trip just for you and yours is the way to go. Do you want to travel with just your family? Looking for dates that aren’t listed on the website? A private departure might be just the thing! DC can organize private trips for groups and events such as:
• Family reunions
• Milestone birthday bashes
• Special interest groups (clubs, religious organization, etc.)
• Couples trips
• Student groups

We’re happy to make adjustments where we can so your trip perfectly matches your group’s interests and needs.

These are Discover Corps’ signature Vacations with Purpose, designed to take you behind the scenes to experience a destination on a whole new level. They focus on high-end cultural immersion and access to unique people and places only Discover Corps can provide, incorporating Purposeful Encounters with local organizations and individuals working to change the world for the beter. These are intimate, personal journeys that leave a lasting impression on the traveler and communities alike. Each trip features a portfolio of handpicked boutique hotels that are locally-owned and reflect the colors and charm of the destination

These trips are short but mighty! Weekend Getaways are the perfect opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life when time is at a premium. You can expect the same level of cultural immersion, distinctive lodging and meaningful encounters, wrapped in a more condensed package. Lodging type will depend on the trip, but be ready for something distinctive and memorable. Embrace new experiences, whether it’s trying local cuisine or exploring hidden gems, and uncover a new destination –all in one long weekend!
Go on a different kind of adventure! What better way to experience a country than through some of its most unique festivals and celebrations? As with all of our trips, we provide unrivaled access to people and places during these festivals as well as a high-end, immersive itinerary with all of the must-see sights along the way. From Oaxaca’s iconic Day of the Dead to Cuba’s Havana Jazz Festival, there are many ways to celebrate! Note: These trips depart once per year, and spots are limited.
Many of Discover Corps’ trips feature optional post-trip extensions to interesting places in the destination or region. Visiting Thailand? Why not extend your journey to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Angkor Wat. Headed to the Galapagos Islands? Add-on 5 nights in the Amazon Jungle at an eco-rainforest lodge. These extensions are specifically designed to create a seamless experience (yes, we arrange the regional flights!) and show you some of the most magical corners of this earth!
Our accommodations are more than just places to sleep - they are an intrinsic part of the experience. Each property has a unique “wow” factor based on the purpose of the trip.

Your accommodation can sometimes make or break your travel experience. This is your home-away-from-home, and we recognize that everyone has different wants and needs. Unlike other travel companies, Discover Corps’ hand-picked accommodations vary greatly from trip-to-trip, but all have passed our standards of safety, cleanliness, comfort and reflect the unique charm and character of a destination.
To help you select the trip that’s right for you, our accommodation options have been assigned to one of three categories that correspond to star-ratings from major U.S. travel sites like Expedia and Travelocity.

Majestic, one-of-a-kind lodges that redefine luxury. Expect to find eco-lodges near wildlife viewing, luxury tented camps in the savannas of Africa, and hotels with gorgeous grounds, swimming pools, and easy access to nearby cities, always reflecting the best of the local environment.

Clean, safe, and comfortable properties in distinctive locations. Whether the proceeds go back to support the local community or you are walking distance to the hidden local beach, your stay will offer a unique angle and add to your experience.

For the adventurous, stay off the beaten path. While still passing all safety and comfort standards, these lodges are often found in remote locations due to the nature of the trip - think camping on a remote island or thatched roofed huts at an elephant sanctuary.

“Our family trip to Costa Rica was an absolutely amazing experience. Discover Corps was incredibly easy to work with early on from booking the trip, organizing the flights, answering questions along the way, up to a debrief upon arrival home. In addition, Discover Corps provided a trip and an itinerary that far exceeded our expectations.
We are a family of four with two teenagers. We were paired with other families who also had teenagers. The families that we met and the friendships that were cultivated in Costa Rica were beautiful. We had so much fun all together but also had time to be together as our family of four.
Our accommodations and meals well surpassed our expectations. We loved the three gorgeous boutique hotels. The food in Costa Rica is DELISH!! To add, the itinerary was well designed and allowed for us to have an incredibly fulfilling experience in Costa Rica.
We are so grateful to have been able to travel to Costa Rica with our family and we recommend Discover Corp without any hesitation.”

Yes, Cuba is open to U.S. travelers! However, it’s not just a matter of booking a flight and making up your trip as you go. In fact, even tour providers must meet certain conditions in order to run trips in Cuba. Fortunately, Discover Corps has remained a legal way to travel to Cuba since 2015! Many organizations (cruise ships, larger tour companies, etc) do not qualify to run trips on the island; DC is one of the few tour companies who are licensed to provide legal travel to Cuba!
We operate under the “Support for the Cuban People” license, which means that we are traveling with the intention and itinerary planned that will help support Cuban micro-entrepreneurs. Discover Corps has always operated under the belief that travel should be an exchange, where we leave the destination a little bit better than we left it. For this reason, our five Cuba itineraries have always been operated responsibly with the intention to make the world a better place – in Cuba, that means supporting Cuban individuals and businesses, and helping to grow the private sector there.
• Stay at casas particulares, or privately owned bed and breakfasts.
• Eat at local paladars, or privately owned restaurants
• Engaging in activities that support the people of Cuba. For Discover Corps, this includes hands-on learning at a local music and arts center, visiting local artist studios, volunteering at a center for special needs children, connecting with local farmers in Viñales Valley, supporting local dance troupes, and more.
• Hiring local guides and drivers who do not work for a government agency.
You still need to travel with a tour company in order to travel to Cuba legally, and it is important that you have your paperwork organized. Discover Corps will keep the proper paperwork (receipts and your itinerary) on file for you and help you obtain the correct Cuban visa so you can travel stress-free.

The Day of the Dead festival, or Día de los Muertos, in Oaxaca is a deeply meaningful celebration that blends indigenous Zapotec and Mixtec traditions with Spanish Catholic influences. It is a time for families to honor and remember their deceased loved ones through ofrendas or vibrant altars, adorned with marigolds, candles, photographs, and are laden with offerings of favorite foods and drinks.
Discover Corps takes travelers behind the scenes during this joyous time of the year. The festival’s colorful parades, intricately painted face masks, and lively music create a joyous atmosphere that contrasts with the somber remembrance of the dead. In Oaxaca, this festival is not just a memorial but a celebration of life, reflecting the belief that death is a natural part of the human experience and a continuation rather than an end. The communal spirit, artistic expression, and deep-rooted cultural significance make Oaxaca’s Day of the Dead a unique and profoundly moving experience.
