Bioluminescence & Sea Canoes in Phang Nga Bay
Phuket, Thailand
Shared | Full-Day | Nature & Outdoors
Thailand’s Phang Nga Bay has long been favoured for its limestone cliffs, hidden lagoons, and ample opportunities to watch local life and natural splendour from the calming waters. To fully enjoy this vast region near Phuket’s alluring shores, Discova has designed an enlightening experience in the second half of your day not just to witness a spectacular sunset but also gear up for an incredible bioluminescence experience.
Guests will be picked up from their respective hotels in Phuket in the afternoon for a thrilling transfer to the starting point for an adventurous sea canoeing safari around some of the Bay’s most popular destinations: Koh Phanak and the Hong Islands. The outlines of Phanak are well documented in pop culture as the island is better known as James Bond Island, immortalised on the silver screen in Roger Moore’s The Man with a Golden Gun. Further pedalling afield, the Hong Islands are a picturesque treasure trove with its clear waters and limestone karsts rising out of the water.
As the sun sets over the horizon, we warmly welcome you to savour a delicious dinner at Koh Panyi, before unveiling the final showstopper for the night. Subject to weather conditions, as darkness falls, prepare to be amazed by the magical phenomenon of bioluminescence. Tiny organisms in the water light up with a blue-green glow, creating a mesmerising spectacle that will leave you in awe.
This unique combination of activities makes for a truly memorable afternoon and evening in Phang Nga Bay before heading back to Phuket in the late evening.
