Bali - Explore Nusa Penida
Bali, Indonesia

Shared | Full-Day | Nature & Outdoors
A fun 45-minute speedboat ride away, Nusa Penida is a perfect day trip option if nature and adventure are your two primary requisites as a traveller. Our first stop is Broken Beach, a naturally formed lagoon, a circular hole in a rocky outcrop that appears at first glance to be entirely enclosed by cliffs. Sip on a coconut at a nearby stall and wonder at this natural spectacle, watching clear water drift in from the ocean and back. From the towering heights of Broken Beach, head closer to Angel’s Billabong. This natural “infinity pool” is a lagoon framed by staggered and jagged volcanic rocks. The water is clear enough to see the strange patterns of rock formations on the pool floor.
The most striking feature of Nusa Penida is the Kelingking Beach, marked by its bright turquoise waters and a cliff resembling a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Stand atop the steep landscape to marvel at the famous rock formation jutting into the water. Next, have lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the ocean before travelling to Crystal Bay Beach to swim and snorkel (optional) in its calm waters. After a full day of exploration and relaxation, return to the harbour to board a speedboat back to Bali.
