Ubud’s Serenity: Rice Field Bliss & Village Charm
Bali, Indonesia
Shared | Half-Day | Nature and Outdoors
Ubud is known for being the arts and cultural hub of Bali and this tour will uncover precisely why. Bali is famous for batik, and our first stop, Tohpati, is where these popular fabrics are created by hand. Of course, when getting dressed up in the best batik, one must also wear some nice jewellery! Explore the village of Mas, where silver jewellery is handcrafted, from chunky and funky to finely detailed ornamental pieces. Seeing how the jewellery is created will give you a new appreciation for incredible craftsmanship we often take for granted and also pick out a few statement pieces as keepsakes from this trip. Our third attraction is a classic Bali sight – the terraced rice fields of Tegalalang which are sights to behold and make a wonderful backdrop for images.
Lunch is next on the cards where you can relax and enjoy a wonderful local meal surrounded by more gorgeous rice fields. No visit to Ubud is complete without stopping to see the town’s cheekiest inhabitants - the macaque monkeys, who inhabit the Monkey Forest where they are free to roam around as they please. We end the tour at Ubud Market, where you can find a variety of local goods and practice your bargaining skills.
