Manggis Cultural Immersion Bali, Indonesia
Private | Half-Day | Culture & Community This experience takes guests on a journey through Manggis’ lush and tranquil landscapes, shedding light on daily life (influenced by spirituality
and nature), local architecture and vibrant landscapes. In the morning,
join local Balinese women to make canang sari or daily offering. Canang sari is an offering made to God as an expression of gratitude. Canang
sari usually consists of a small plate made of woven coconut leaves and filled with biodegradable offerings like rice, colourful flowers and fruits.
The making of canang sari is a very interesting cultural experience for visitors and a way to closely understand the Balinese traditional way of
living while building meaningful connections with the local community. Designed with a core focus on sustainability, this tour supports
cultural preservation by empowering locals to share their heritage. It
promotes environmental stewardship through the use of eco-friendly, locally sourced materials. Social responsibility is reflected in the active
involvement of community members as facilitators and guides, while economic development is encouraged through inclusive, income-
generating tourism. This is a respectful and rewarding way to connect with Balinese culture while contributing to a positive impact.
What to Expect • Escape the busy pace of modern life and connect with nature and the people of Manggis. • Participate in crafting canang sari offerings with Balinese women. • Join a temple prayer ceremony in a sarong attire.
