Honoring Cameron
A Legacy of Leadership as Vice President
Cameron Aulner has been a driving force at Disabled Outdoorsmen USA (DOUSA) for the past seven years, dedicating his time and passion to expanding outdoor access for individuals with disabilities. As Vice President of the Board for the last five years, Cameron’s leadership played a key role in DOUSA’s growth Although he stepped down in August due to health challenges, his impact and legacy will endure.
Cameron’s journey with DOUSA began in 2018, and his commitment to helping others rediscover the outdoors was unwavering, despite his own challenges after a spinal cord injury. He described his role as VP as one of the most impactful and rewarding of his life, highlighted by meaningful connections with participants.
Cameron was instrumental in organizing DOUSA’s first banquet in 2022, which raised over $100,000 to support the mission and has grown into an annual tradition.
While Cameron has stepped down, his passion for the outdoors and commitment to the mission will continue to inspire. We thank him for his tremendous contributions to DOUSA
Knox Olafson A True Champion for DOUSA
Knox Olafson, a recent participant in our LC3 hunt, went above and beyond in showing his support for DOUSA After experiencing the hunt, Knox felt inspired to make a difference. He set up a hot chocolate stand, raising $1,000 for our cause. His dedication and initiative didn’t stop there Knox personally presented the check at our DOUSA banquet, a moment that truly highlighted his selflessness and commitment to giving back
Knox’s willingness to take action and use his experience to support others speaks volumes about his character His efforts remind us of the power of community and how each individual can have a meaningful impact.
We are so grateful for Knox’s contribution, and we can’t wait to see the continued positive influence he’ll have on DOUSA and the people around him. Thank you, Knox, for making a lasting difference!

Since 1986, the Hill Country Charity Ball has raised more than $2.1 million to support local charities that transform lives. The 2025 event promises to be unforgettable, featuring live music, dinner, auctions, and dancing all with the shared goal of making a meaningful difference in our community.
