2026 Lunch & Learn Series SPECIAL EDUCATION DUE PROCESS HEARINGS: What You Need to Know Before You File June 9, 2026

DESCRIPTION A due process hearing before an Impartial Hearing Officer is one option to address conflicts that may arise between parents and school districts in special education. Because it is a formal, legally binding, and time-consuming process, it is essential to understand when and why a due process hearing is the right option. Participants will gain a practical understanding of due process from a panel that includes an experienced special education Impartial Hearing Officer, student/parent attorney, and a school attorney.
