In this season of Harvest, we choose to gather and share in Jesus’ name. Amen
When we gather, we bring together and take in. Harvest time is a season of gathering - bringing together and taking in the crops that have grown. When we meet for collective worship, we gather - we bring together our school community and everyone is welcome. When we gather together, we share with one another. We share our space, our thoughts and ideas and our gifts. When we gather, we are being a mustard tree! A Kingdom for everyone to flourish!
Can you remember the Parable of the Mustard Seed? Talk about what happened in the parable with the person sitting next to you. The Parable tell us that God’s Kingdom is like a mustard seed because it can start small but grow and grow! Can you think of something small that has a big impact?
Today we are going to think about faith. What is faith? How would you describe it? Faith is a strong belief or trust in something or someone - often without needing proof!
What does it mean to have faith in something or someone?
I believe that Arsenal FC will win the FA Cup and the Premier League. They believe they will win - and so do I. They have won before, so they can do it again! I believe they have the skills, the ability and the desire to achieve what they say they will achieve. I believe in them! I have faith they will win!
Who or what does Sam have faith in?
In our Bible story today, we will hear more about faith. Read Luke 9:10-17 ‘The Marvellous Picnic’

Faith can start small, just like the mustard seed or the small picnic of loaves and fishes. We can pray and ask God to give us the gift of faith in Him. Small acts and words of kindness can make a BIG impact on our community. Imagine if everyone here shared a small act or word of kindness today! What a difference that would make!
