FUNCTIONALITY
The exhibition center is located in El Paso, Texas. This is an infill project projected to be public building. It will serve the community and tourist that frequent downtown. The facility will be a place where people can find information about what is happening in the surroundings. Art, music, history, sports and political meetings. The announcements will fill the space with periodic activities with which we will reactivate downtown and San Jacinto Plaza and commerce in the heart of El Paso. We will make this project interactive where you decide what to see and the type of information you want to see. Render | Lumion Model | Rhinoceros

SECTION LOOKING SOUTH
Additionally, due to orientation of the complex and the height of the towers, it is proposed a translucent concrete that will allow for lit spaces in the interiors during the day, and as reference point at night time due to the emission of light coming from the interior to the exterior. All this to increase security around the complex and the neighborhood. Modeling: Rhinoceros Rendering : Vray | Photoshop

The hearth of UNM, Smith+Union Plaza sees thousands of students walk through every year, it has been a place for memorable events that vanish along with the soul of the plaza. Now it's time to revitalize, allowing the new generation to enjoy from it; a new life that allows gathering and the creation of new memories. The plaza is begging for a new language, and for new defined spaces. The intent with this proposal is to revitalized the Smith plaza, repair major damaged spaces, and provide complete and easy ADA compliant access to the plaza Graphics: Autocad

REVOLVING IDENTITIES A simple geometry with extensive meanings inspires the design of the bathhouse. The taegeuk is a symbol tied to the Korea culture. It is formed by two spiraling identities that represent equality, balance and the continuous cycle of life. This duality is expressed by the two entries facing East and West. Onr entry represents the warm experiences and the other the cold. The revolving circulation creates interior spaces that evoke perpetual motion where the two identities meet in a shared pool and come together as one. It is till you are in the shared pool, where you realize that you have only experience half of the journey...
RBT LIGHTING COMPETITION Fixture for a Museum Lobby Washington, D.C. Individual Entry | Spring 2017
10’
This lighting fixture is intended to provide the museum guests a magical and refreshing experience. This museum’s spaces are constantly evolving and changing. They are spaces where the best ideas and dreams are exposed to the world. I believe that creating transitional elements inside a museum lobby is an interactive and engaging experience that will bring out different emotions every time someone visits the museum.

The fixture holds itself in a steel frame. It is eight feet high and ten feet wide. The structure supports itself by a metal plate on the floor that prevents the structure from tilting and allows people to walk on it. The sources of light are LED strips that are battery powered, located at the top of the structure. The light is carried from top to bottom through fiber optic strings. The color characteristics and the quantity of light produced by the LED strips can be change and personalized with a remote controller producing more than 44 colors. The most intense light will be at the bottom of the structure and reflect up due to the reflective metal plate. The lighting source is separated three inches from the fiber optic filaments in order to provide a curious component to the fixture. The light cascades could be rearranged and reconfigured into different shapes and spaces, providing a variable range of options to enhance the museum lobby or any other event space.

JINHEE PARK SINGLESPEED DESIGN US
FRIDAY, JANUARY 27TH | 5:30 PM GARCIA HONDA AUDITORIUM MARJORIE MEAD HOOKER VISITING TING PROFE PROFESSORSHIP
MICRO-URBANISM Jinhee Park received a Master in Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a B.F.A. in Industrial Design from Seoul National University. Her work at SsD has been celebrated through numerous awards including a 2015 Best in Competition Award from AIANY. SsD is an architecture firm that approaches design as a convergent, interdisciplinary venture that aspires to bridge the utopian and the pragmatic. Instead of separating aspects of architecture, urbanism, landscape, history, social systems, and codes into their constituent disciplines, these essential design ingredients are simultaneously explored so that minimum form gains maximum effect. In this way sustainability emerges as an integrated rather than additive result.
