Iwi’s big plan: 61 new homes for Hauraki Stage one of a large housing development in Hauraki will add 61 dwellings to the area behind the local primary school. The property arm of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, Whai Rawa Development, has applied for Auckland Council consent to build on land it

owns on both sides of Marsden St. The application covers around 1.85ha, with the street also having some privately owned homes. The Marsden St development will create a mix of free-standing, duplex and terraced homes for public sale, replacing older,
