Sell-off among options for waterfront council villas

Three council-owned heritage homes on Devonport Domain overlooking Torpedo Bay could be sold or leased long-term under classification options suggested by Auckland Council officials. But attempting to remove the reserve sta-

tus of the land they occupy could also lead to it falling into Crown ownership, the Devonport-Takapuna Local Board has been told. Two of the homes are leased to tenants; the other is empty and needs an estimated million-dollar upgrade.
