the most manoeuvrable on the market – and they are also the most innovative, with a variety of technical highlights such as independent suspension on the front axle, high-efficiency FARMotion engines, 40 km / h ECO Powershift transmission and a wide range of hydraulic options. With numerous models, from 75 HP to 113 HP, and equipment variants ranging from ECO to high-tech, DEUTZ-FAHR offers the largest selection of models in this class. Every farm is guaranteed to find the ideal specialist tractor for its own specific applications and comfort requirements.

Hydraulic system. In addition to the standard hydraulic system, three different hydraulic variants are available for every requirement. Thus, up to 131 l / min pump capacity and up to 9 additional control valves are available. > PAGE 16

The DEUTZ-FAHR front axle concept is unique, making it a real highlight. Single-wheel suspension with a double wishbone design means independent suspension of the front wheels. This results in maximum suspension in all operating scenarios. The spring stroke of each individual wheel is controlled by an adaptive electrohydraulic system. This ensures that the wheel contact patch always touches the ground fully. The DTC (Differential Traction Control) system constantly monitors the wheel revolutions and always applies torque to the wheels during maximum ground contact. The innovative control system also gives the DEUTZ-FAHR specialist tractors maximum roll and directio-

nal stability. Roll stabilisation prevents the front axle from diving and resultant load shifting (Anti-Dive), while directional stability prevents the vehicle from rocking (Anti-Roll). The slim geometry of the front axle frame enables a steering lock angle of up to 60°. The turning radius is reduced by 10 % to an average of 3 m. A hydraulic 4-wheel brake comes as standard, as do the electrohydraulic engagement of the four-wheel drive and 100 % differential lock. All this means that the front axle concept guarantees maximum wheel grip, traction, driving stability and safety for all ground conditions.

The large redesigned cooling package, the improved air flow and the PowerCore air filter all support engine efficiency.

Exclusive DOC system. Meets all emissions standards in one compact system without AdBlue.

The fuel tank integrated into the front axle support can be filled even with the bonnet closed, while the auxiliary tank is located underneath the chassis.

Under the newly designed bonnet, there is a choice of compact 3- and 4-cylinder FARMotion engines, which meet the requirements of stage IIIB emissions regulations. Developed especially for agricultural applications, these common rail engines feature electronic injection, with a pressure of 2,000 bar, a new valve concept, enlarged cylinders, a new crankshaft design, an electronic EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) engine management system and a DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst) system, all of which means they deliver maximum performance and constant torque even at low speeds. Fuel consumption, emissions, vibrations and noise have been minimised. Other new features include

the compact cooling system with enlarged cooling surface, intercooling, a fuel cooling system, an air-conditioning condenser and optimised air flow, as well as the Powercore air filter with dust removal. Both systems support engine efficiency and are designed for long service intervals and fast, straightforward maintenance. The fuel tank is built into the front axle block and can be filled without opening the bonnet. It has a capacity of 55 litres. The tank volume can be increased by 40 litres (5DF models) or 30 litres (5DV / 5DS models) by adding an additional tank below the driver‘s platform.

The transmission systems of thekm/h DEUTZ-FAHR specialist tractors have also been developed to meet the high demands of modern agricultural operations. Here, efficiency and versatility were the key criteria. The three-stage 5-speed Powershift transmission is unique in this tractor class. It provides up to 45 forward and up to 45 reverse gears. Gear changes can be carried out conveniently, at the push of a button on the gear shift lever, without having to engage the clutch. The Stop&Go system (GS) allows convenient starting and stopping without using the clutch. Select the transmission system that fits in ideally with your work profile and comfort requirements. For the 5DV / 5DS / 5DF models, a mechanical 5-speed transmission with up to 30 forward and 15 reverse gears is also available. The 5DF Ecoline models are equipped with this system as standard. Up to six auxiliary control valves in the rear and front.

From vineyards to orchards, from tilling the land to tending and harvesting crops, and from municipal winter services to road and site maintenance: Versatility and adaptability are key strengths of the DEUTZ-FAHR specialist tractors. With a lifting capacity of up to 2,800 kg at the rear and 1,500 kg at the front, any conceivable combination of equipment can be easily moved. The rear linkage can be controlled electronically on request. On all 5DV / 5DS / 5DF models, two separate hydraulic circuits ensure full flow capacity for equipment operation, linkage and tractor functions. The standard hydraulic equipment consists of a fixed displacement pump with a capacity of 54 l / min and 3 additional control valves at the rear. An optional 64 l / min tandem pump is available for parallel operation of the rear linkage and

up to six auxiliary control valves at the front and rear. The 5DF Ecoline models are equipped with a 45 l / min pump and three control valves at the rear. DEUTZ-FAHR offers five defined hydraulic packages ranging from basic to high-tech, to ensure that the hydraulics fully match your operating profile. External operation of the rear linkage from the wing makes attaching work implements a safe and straightforward procedure. The range of PTO configurations is also highly varied. Three PTO speeds (540 / 540 ECO / 1000) are standard at DEUTZ-FAHR. The PTO is activated via a button and electrohydraulic controls. This guarantees a smooth start without any jerking. A ground-speed PTO is available as an option.

Cab comfort has long since ceased to be a luxury, even when it comes to specialist tractors. A more pleasant working environment means less severe environmental factors such as cold, heat, dust or noise, resulting in longer periods of concentration and performance for the driver. The 4-post cab of the specialist tractors features all-round glazing and a one-piece windscreen, for optimum visibility in every direction. On the outside, the cab is compact and slim. There are no sharp edges that could damage crops. Inside, cutting-edge design and high-quality, light materials create a feel-good environment. Numerous noise-absorbing elements and other technical details have made it possible to minimise noise levels inside the cab. The air-conditioning system is powerful and ensures even air distribution. Seven adjustable ventilation nozzles keep the driver‘s preferred temperature constant throughout the cab. There are new seat

options for the driver. Variants featuring different suspension concepts, materials and settings options are available. All the controls are within easy reach, arranged according to how often they are used and colour-coded. Orange denotes anything pertaining to the tractor’s driving functions, e.g. gearshift, Stop&Go function and also the parking brake. All the hydraulic control functions are blue. Green indicates the linkage operation and yellow the PTO functions. Black is reserved for lighting and air conditioning. The InfoCentre on the dashboard provides clear information to the driver about all the tractor’s operating statuses via digital and analogue displays. It only takes a few minutes for the driver to get to grips with the DEUTZ-FAHR specialist tractors before being able to tackle the job at hand. Intuitive, extremely comfortable and productive.
