DutchcomposerAnthonyFiumara(Tilburg1968)receivedhis musicaltrainingattheUniversityofUtrecht.Heworksasafull timecomposer,buthealsoenjoyedasuccessfulcareerasa musicjournalist,producerofradioprogramsandlecturer.His articlesappearedinternationally—inbooks,magazines,andCD booklets.
AnthonyteachescompositionatAMPA(AcademyofMusic andPerformingArts)inTilburg.Hewasartisticdirectorof OrkestDeVolhardingandCompagnieBischoff.Heco-founded theAmsterdamElectricFestival,aswelastheindie-classical ensembleLunapark.
Hewascomposer–in-residenceattheNorthNetherlands SymphonyOrchestraandhewrotemusicforanumberof internationalsoloistsandensembles.In2018-2020hewas composer-in-residenceoftheCityofTilburg.
AnthonylivesinAmsterdam,withhiswifeandinspirationKatja andtheircatCookie.
