Dear Runners, A very warm welcome, and thank you for signing up for the 2026 Phillips Law Basingstoke Half Marathon, 10k, 5k & Children’s race! We’re delighted to have you join us for what promises to be another fantastic celebration of running and our wonderful community. As we celebrate the 16th anniversary of the Basingstoke Half Marathon & 10k. Following the hugely successful introduction of the 5k last year, we’re delighted to confirm that the 5k is here to stay, giving even more runners the opportunity to take part and be part of this great event. Last year, we welcomed more than 1,600 runners to the start line, and this year we’re hoping to beat that figure and make 2026 our biggest and best event yet! As always, the race is organised by Destination Basingstoke, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to showcasing and celebrating everything that makes Basingstoke & Deane such a wonderful place - its incredible people, thriving businesses and strong community spirit. We are hugely grateful for the continued support of our runners, residents, businesses, sponsors, media partners, volunteers and charity partners. Your support is what makes it possible for this event to continue year after year.

Charity of the year This year, we are proud to announce that the charity partner for the Phillips Law Basingstoke Half Marathon, 10k & 5k is Victorias Promise Victoria’s Promise supports women diagnosed with cancer aged 25 – 50 years, as well as their families. They support from diagnosis and beyond, whether that is through recovery, learning to live with cancer, or a terminal prognosis. Their support for family members continues through a family’s grief. With In Person Support and third-party services they provide, they are there every step of the way to ease their emotional, practical and physical challenges, with compassion, reassurance, and deep understanding that each woman, her family and her

Race Village Welcome to the Race Village! We’re excited to announce that this year’s Phillips Law Basingstoke Half Marathon race village will be bigger and better than ever! Bring your friends, family, and neighbours down to enjoy the fun. There will be games for all to enjoy—just £1 per child or adult, per game—with all proceeds going to support The Pink Place, making it a great way to give back while having fun! Feeling hungry? We’ve got concessions onsite serving tea, coffee, breakfast, lunch, and ice cream to keep you fuelled for the day! (Please note that concessions are paid directly to the outlets).
This is a fantastic local community event that truly showcases the spirit of Basingstoke, so please encourage your supporters to join us either in the Race Village or cheering along the route—everyone is welcome! Let’s make it a day to remember for our community!

Meet the pacers—Half Marathon Meet your pacers – your secret weapon on race day! These experienced runners will be out on the course, wearing bright yellow with their finish times clearly marked, and running at a steady, consistent pace to help you hit your goal. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or just want to run a smooth, even race, you can stick with a pacer, relax, and let them do the hard work of keeping the rhythm. They’ll cheer you on, keep you motivated, and make sure you don’t set off too fast (or too slow!). Getting here… Event Parking The Phillips Law Basingstoke Half Marathon, 10K & 5K starts from Crossborough Park, War Memorial Park, Basingstoke. On-site parking is available via London Road. A minimum donation of £1 per vehicle will be charged for race parking. All donations will go to Hampshire Hospitals Charity, which raises funds to support patients, staff and volunteers at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. SatNav: RG21 4AG
Race parking will be clearly signposted from the major routes into Basingstoke. Alternatively, you can use the town centre car parks, although standard parking charges will apply.

Key things to remember—our Dos & Don’ts If you collect your race number on Saturday 19th September, 26th September or 3rd October, PLEASE keep it safe. Replacement race numbers cannot be issued. Make sure you bring your race number with you on race day, as you will need it to take part. Please note: you may only collect your own race number, unless you are collecting a race number on behalf of a child.
This year the official race t-shirt is included for all runners—Half Marathon and 10k & 5k, unless opted for zero waste option. You will be able to collect these with your bib number. Remember you MUST secure your bib with 4 pins Make sure you don’t cover the QR code as this is used to identify you for your FREE photos from pic2go.
Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be based on gun time, with team prizes based on chip timing. Earphones/headphones are not permitted and may result in disqualification. Bone-conduction headphones ARE permitted; no other styles are allowed. Road closures will be in place for the whole route, but you must complete the half marathon course in a maximum of 3.00hrs. Water stations will be on the route Mile point 4.5m/9m/11m on route & at the finishing line.
Please help by keeping the route and race village tidy and clean by throwing your rubbish away/recycling & food waste. Receptacles will be provided on route and within the race village.
After the race •
Winners of prizes are based on chip times (not gun times).

Team results are based on the chip times of the first 3 team members-the decision of the race adjudicator will is final.
•
All results and official photos including prize-winners will be on the website as soon as possible after the race.
•
In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Race Adjudicator and Race Director shall be final.
•
All finishers will receive a medal.
•
Water & bananas available post race for all runners.
Medal Engraving Make Your Medal Even More Special! At the time of entry, you had the option to add an iTAB to your order, allowing your official race time to be added to your medal after you cross the finish line. This year, we’re delighted to confirm that Final Mile Engraving will be joining us at the Phillips Law Basingstoke Half Marathon! The Final Mile Engraving team will be located in the Race Village on event day and will be on hand to help with all your engraving needs. If you added an iTAB to your entry, you will receive your iTab through the post approx. 7-10 days post event for you to attached to your medal. Medal engraving will be available for both adult and children’s medals, so make sure you pop along to see the team after your race and give your medal that finishing touch!
