Established in 2005, following demand from its Primary counterpart founded in 1963, Dubai English Speaking College (DESC) is a British, overseas coeducational secondary school. We are proud to be inclusive and not for profit with exceptional facilities and an exhaustive range of extra-curricular activities. The development of our discrete, purpose built Sixth Form has been based on our ethos of providing exceptional teaching, facilities and experiences for our senior students who are afforded extra privileges alongside extra responsibilities. Emphasis is placed on supporting our Year 12 and Year 13 students with their transition to universities all over the world, with record numbers using the information, advice and guidance presented to them to secure places at the very best institutions in the UK, USA, Canada, the Far East and Europe. The Sixth Form experience at DESC is rich and exciting led by a large team who are dedicated to ensuring that every student leaves DESC well mannered, well rounded and well equipped to succeed.

The Sixth Form curriculum at DESC is bold and British, rich and varied and created to provide infinite pathways for our diverse students. Enhanced and enriched by a Super Curriculum the overall Sixth Form experience is one designed to ensure academic success alongside extraordinary experiences. There are three curriculum pathways at DESC: Academic, Vocational and Mixed.
Proud to be inclusive, DESC welcomes applications from all students. We have a team of 15 LSAs and 3 Student Advisors. The team offers a range of study skills, mental health and wellbeing support.
