Curating a community library space that fosters research, collaboration, & functionality.

The Current Situation

Currently the Design Library is a place set up to encourage quiet, individual study. However, the majority of work in the College of Design is collaborative with students not only working amongst themselves but with faculty as well. We want to find a way to inspire a collaborative environment that encourages students and faculty to work outside studio.

Proposal

Creating a library space that fosters collaboration and used by students and faculty in the College of Design. We want to add more seating options while continuing to preserve the unique presence of the Design Library on campus.
