GROWING OUTWARDS Brooks Hall was the orginial library for North Carolina State University. To improve this building and bring it back to its original program, this concept focuses on having extrusions “growing” out of the building. These would be centered to the rotunda with copper material to tie back to the original building. The new copper would show the transition from old to new. Each of the excursion has their own central programs with large facades to draw light and people in whilst also being used to frame views.
