we present Eco Design Concept
ECO Design Concept (Ecological Comsuniption Optimization) is developed over the years by PRYM Fashion Istanbul in order to reduce environmental impact loading of our processes to manufacturing fastening systems and accessories. Produets in ECO Series are the result of inovative process development. Tue inovation processes includes the following features:
Complete phase out of electroplating processes
Replacement of wet chemical oxidation with physical treatments
Removing chemicals containing heavy metals from processes
Using water-based coating processes instead of solvent-based one
by applying Eco Design Concept
With ECO Design Concept, all the “standard” surface treatments have been reviewcd on the following technical basis:
Standardizing surface modification of the materials such as brass, copper and stainless steel in order to provide a natrural base color
Accurate selection of chemicals and enviromentally friendly processes
Applying few basic processes such as degreasing, soft washing and drying
By utilizing ECO Design Concept, consumption of chemicals and energy is highly reduced and environmental performance of fastening systems and accessories is substantially improved.
