T A major attraction of the Pacific Northwest, the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival has been a favorite of locals and global visitors since 1984. Held annually April 1-30, the event celebrates the blooming of millions of tulips scattered in fields throughout the fertile Skagit Valley. No-Bake StrawBerry CheeSeCake INGREDIENTS 1 lb.
Fresh strawberries
2 tsp
Vanilla extract
2 pkgs
Cream cheese
1 tsp
Finely grated lemon peel
¾ cup
Sweetened condensed milk
1
10-inch graham cracker crust
2 tbs
Fresh lemon juice
DIRECTIONS Remove & discard tops from half of the strawberries. Finely chop or puree strawberries. Reserve remaining half of strawberries for serving. Beat cream cheese in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add sweetened condensed milk; beat until smooth. Add chopped or pureed strawberries, lemon juice, vanilla extract and lemon peel; beat well. Spoon mixture into crust; smooth down top. Slice remaining whole strawberries. Top cheesecake with strawberries before serving.
