• 3 tablespoons vegetable oil • 1 cup uncooked long-grain rice • ¼ cup chopped onion • 1 teaspoon garlic salt • ½ teaspoon ground cumin • 2 cups chicken broth • ½ cup tomato sauce
1. Heat oil in a large saucepan over
medium heat and cook rice, onion, garlic salt, and cumin, stirring
constantly, until the rice is puffed and golden.
2. Stir in chicken broth and tomato sauce, bring to a boil
3. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 25 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
