e hope that you and your family have a great Christmas & New Year’s celebration! We appreciate your support and trust helping with your real estate needs and appreciate your continued referrals of family and friends. 2021 has been a great year for real estate and all signs point up to continued value appreciation in Metro Phoenix with a limited supply of homes on the market. We are continuing to see more and more people moving to our Valley each day with a shift of residents and businesses moving to Metro Phoenix. Our local economy and real estate values have benefited more than any part of the Country since 2020 pandemic started. With strong appreciation and buyer demand the appreciation rates and rental increases have made it harder on those that are not economically in position to purchase or find affordable housing. However, having a roof over your head is still a good spot to be vs. the increases in homelessness that our Valley has also experienced in this same timeframe. For this holiday season, in lieu of gifts, we are making a sizable donation to Homeless Engagement Lift Partnership (H.E.L.P.). Below is a brief summary of what H.E.L.P. is all about. In 2021 we were able to meet with Dawn Marie Rapaport and learn more about her AZ 501(c)(3) charity H.E.L.P. Dawn Marie’s impact on helping those that are homeless comes from her heart and from personal experience. She grew up homeless from the ages of 5 to 15 and was able to get through the challenges with continued words of encouragement. Many years later Dawn Marie decided to make an impact and focus 100% of her time helping children and families have hope to no longer be homeless and find ways to assist so those impacted have hope and encouragement.
Here are some current facts we face in Metro Phoenix: • Recently, local school districts across the valley have seen a nearly 65% increase in demand for nutrition assistance programs amid the hardship families have faced since the onset of the pandemic. • School districts alone are having a tough time keeping up with this demand, which leaves many children at risk of going hungry. For growing children, eating enough food is essential for normal development. • Far too many children in the valley experience hunger, but many of them also experience homelessness too. Recent estimates suggest that more than 9,000 homeless children are residing within Maricopa County. • H.E.L.P. is helping distribute over 20,000 H.E.L.P Snackz per month and is working with 19 school districts in the Valley with some of them having enrollment with over 5% of the students are at risk, displaced or homeless. H.E.L.P. has created many programs and one of them is called H.E.L.P. Snackz. This program is to help combat the rising number of children who face food insecurity. H.E.L.P. Snackz provides daily nutritional snack bags for children who face hunger and food insecurity. H.E.L.P.Snackz is a non-perishable bag of food that goes to at-risk kids around the community through the schools. These kids range from kindergarteners to high schoolers, and these are kids that get a breakfast and lunch through school but are not guaranteed a supper. We started H.E.L.P Snackz because without the proper nutrition and nourishment, how can you expect these kids to function well? Think of a child who doesn’t get to eat and has schoolwork to do, traumatized by things that may be going on in their life. Children like this are more likely to lash out and become sick more frequently.

Our Mission is to change the cycle of homelessness through our children and Provide Immediate Aid and Comfort. Advance Education and Knowledge for Those Who have Found Themselves in some Form of Homelessness. Promote Awareness and Create Action in the Community.
